you mean he wasn't sad enough? i think jake showed just the right touch of emotion. Noah would have been confused, angry, frustrated at having not been able to do anything, scared to death that luke was in danger, along with many other emotions. I think at those times you don't know what to feel and you lean towards the thing crowding your head the most in one moment. his was worry. and if you mean too much well, luke IS the love of his life. He didn't even know if he was alive!
