Recorded on May 6, 1959 (using a Ralph Burns arrangement), and originally featured on the Atlantic album, "The Genius of Ray Charles". Ray used a similar arrangement for "Georgia on My Mind", three years later.
i intended to listen to sinatra's version of this song when i searched it but i clicked on ray's and i gotta say... i FEEL the song, i dont simply hear it. I love ray for that :)
I love this song! I started to like it more when I heard it in Portuguese with the title "CHOVA OU FAÇA SOL eu vou te amar" with the wonderful Brazilian singer PEDRO STEFANI.As beautiful songs are immortal and beautiful in any language because the sensitivity of the soul are especiails people.BRAVO !(google translator )
I love Ray Charles ! Another great , (but very different), interpretation of this beautiful song was done by Al Jarreau in 1965... If you're interested, it can be found under "Al Jarreau, Come Rain or Come Shine" I love both versions! :)
What a beautiful song, I wish had known about this song11 yrs. ago. It would have been my wedding song. How beautiful, RIP Ray Charles, you are still the best!
People complain that today's music isn't really music...well, I think it is, it just has very little joy in it. A lot of today's young singers sound as if they need to be on a heavy dose of vitamins or some kind of mood enhancer, and others on some sort of psychotic drug
i always loved this song. and just recently i watched "king of comedy" with robert deniro ...great movie, that features this song and i had to hear this song again.
The brass in the left channel at 2:13 came out of nowhere and scared the shit out of me.

Awesome song, one of my favs from Mr. Ray Charles, but I have to say that The Chairman of the Board's version is better.

Genius. He used to all his own production, and when they asked why, he said 'cos if it don't work, there's no one else to blame'. What a guy.
