I love how when she first came out she TRIED ssooo HARD to give this "all black soul" image. it's funny when half-breeds try to overcompensate with their fake ghetto voices & always preaching about african-american well-being. SO GLAD she grew outta that pathetic phase. but I guess that's what happens when you got a white mom who thinks she's black (yes, I know a lot about momma keys).
Alicia is definitely REAL. She pours her heart and soul into every song she sings. Love all her albums or anything she sings. Her voice is absolutely amazing. Love her last album, TEOF. Love all of her albums. BTW, I don't think she's going anywhere. This woman can still sing like nobody's business.
people dont realize that the 90s was real. stuff just really started to get fake. 1900s-90s are the realest times.. she has been polished and trained to work in that business after so many years and money. this the unpolished raw alicia who went threw the struggle like err body else.and when u go threw a struggle u tend to have more real tendencies. u can really be yourself when you get some money.this is a guard to keep from getting controlled frm the world

This is the Alicia Keys I expect to hear, not some ruined swiss beats infested entertainment. (Prayer to the music industry) PLEASE MAKE HER SING LIKE THIS AGAIN!
@jazzmann1984 i agree she is different now with the music but and what makes me mad is that her speechless song she came out with is soulful so she still has it she's just being stingy with it i dont like the prince impression she did for the son this bed or the beyonce sounding music she started out soulful i think she should go out more soulful.
@keyla450 i completely agree. her songs are still good but her sound has changed so much. just listen to songs in a minor and then to element of freedom. i loved the purity of songs in a minor and it´s still my fav album. you can really feel the pain and the love she felt. i miss that in her latest songs and the soul in her songs turned more into pop music, in my opinion. it´s fine with me if people like that and i won´t judge them but it´s not what i love anymore. damn, bad english :(
@sophiadelphia i agree. however i found that As I Am was the least 'her style'. but she has found her way back with a few of the tracks in Element (Unthinkable - I loved this one). her next release will be a BIG decider whether we have lost the early Alicia or not.
@keyla450 How can you say she's being stingy with "Speechless"? She did it for her fans. There was no charge to download it. IT WAS FREE. SHE just didn't make any money from it. She is so young here and I love it too, but people do have to grow and I believe that's why Alicia is still around making such great music today. More power to her. I love ALL her music, old and new. She's still the real Alicia.
