  • do u save other animals as well as big cats?

  • @SerratedPaper We have rescue binturongs and civets in the past etc... but our main focus now is big cats.

  • i text tiger always

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Thanks!

  • i'm sick looking that because they should be free not in a fucking jail feeding with meat. -.-

  • @poleodementa We agree, but all the cats we rescue are from bad captive situations and cannot be released into the wild, so we provide them with the best life possible while in captivity.

  • this is so great of you guys! i donated already :)

  • @miranda1000 Thank you so much for your support! :)

  • There is no place for wildness in this world... People live everywhere ... We have filled the world completely.

  • i love this vid. i think what your organization does is rly great. =) keep up the good work.

  • Does Scott Lope still work for BCR? Just wondering

  • @catlova518 No he left to pursue his filming career, watch out for him on the TV !! :)

  • IVE ALWAYS LOVED BIG CATS;THERE VERY INTERESTING CARNIVORS;AND WE CAN LEARN ALOT FROM THEM;COOL VIDEO THNX

  • Its my dream to work with tigers and other big cats when I get old enough to, I just hope it happens ^^

    good luck with your rescuing!

  • Have you thought about trying to save Cheetahs? or are there none you can save?

  • @GottaloveNicole Cheetahs aren't commonly kept as "pets" like tigers/lions etc... so we are never notified of cheetahs that need rescuing. If there was a cheetah that needed rescuing there are a lot of people who would pay for the cat (backyard breeders who sell and exploit cats) so we never hear about the cats in the first place :(

  • Wait..Holy shit.....ligers exist...Awesome!

  • What's that white cat? I mean what breed is it?

  • @Poeboi That is Tonga one of our white servals, we have two at BCR, the only two that we know of in the world!

  • i so want to go to this place... but im not in the US right now. :(

  • I'd never go to a circus or to a zoo (except field trips in grade school) but I could see going to this place and not feeling like I abandoned my moral values.

  • SCOTT n BCR FREAKN' RAWK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

  • i live like 20 mins from this place i wanted 2 go so bad... havent yet

  • We need to Close down all circus's

  • nice video

  • WHAT IS THE RASTA CAT AT 0:38

  • Rasta cat :) That's "Dances with wolves" our only Canadian Lynx!

  • Beautiful, it looks like it has dread locks! Any vids with a closer look on her?

  • Not yet, but a species spotlight on canadian lynx is in the works, keep watching!

  • @AceOfSpadesX

    lolol

  • Where in Tampa is the sanctuary? I've been to Tampa, and I don't live too far away, but I've never seen or heard any specific location or address, because I'd love to visit one day :) I'm also an artist, and I'm working on my portfolio this year in AP art, and I'd love if I could get some photos for my concentration. I love animals and want my concentration to be focused on them somehow, and I need references that aren't copyrighted by others. Also, do you charge to get in? And how much if so?

  • We are located across the road from Citrus Park Mall - 12802 Easy Street, Tampa FL 33625. If you let me know what sort of photos you are looking for I could send you a few of mine no problem, hope you can make it for a visit someday :)

  • would love to come down and see the care these guys get they look great.

have worked on an f1 savannah and it was weird how the behaviors would switch from wild to domestic animal in a second

    luckily he was 10 lbs

you're brave. a 10 lb dsh can do some damage...

    but these animals are magnificent

wated a lynx at one point figured i could provide the care, but they live 30 years and bond with one person, would eat my regular cats...

even so a visit is on my list

  • Hope you make it to BCR for a visit sometime in the future :)

  • Wow, I'd love to come visit. Too bad I'm stuck in PA. Ah, I could live at a place like that... Such magnificent creatures... They all look amazingly healthy here, and I'm glad you guys are so great to help these beautiful beasts.

  • Thanks, hope you make it to the sanctuary someday! :)

  • I went to a similar Preservation Station in Myrtle Beach, T.I.G.E.R.S.... they have tours that allow you to interact with some of the animals there. What a treat!

  • What sort of animals did you interact with?

  • Baby tigers (my personal fave), a baby lynx, several apes, a binturong (bearcat), wolves... we also got a good look at a liger and some leopards, some grown lynxes, and watched tigers chase a lure at full tilt. :)

  • You've just gotta ask why they're breeding these cats just to spend their lives living in captivity, then interacting with Lynx, wolves and apes could be extremely dangerous if they decided to attack you. This is why we do not breed or have any contact with our animals :) What do you think about ligers?

  • The difference is that this is a preservation station, not a rescue. The handlers spend a great deal of time with the animals, and they are accustomed to human presence. As for the ligers, most unique animals... truly massive, though thankfully relatively sedate.

  • I'm not sure what the role of a preservation station is? But places that offer contact with large dangerous carnivores and make them perform, don't get my support.

  • @BigCatRescue I personally think there is a fine line between a good and a bad reason to have contact with cats. I believe that training an animal to perform is wrong, and is much like raising a child in servitude. I DO believe that playing with an animal is good for the animal's "social life" and it's ok if other people watch (naturally, when the animal is EXPECTED to play for the bystanders, then it becomes a performance; bad) But mammals do need a social life, ideally with other members of th

  • @JuliusGratekul Having contact with big cats, is extremely dangerous and promotes the idea that these cats make good "pets" which goes against our mission. We can still interact with them, talking to them etc... we they like but actual physical contact is a bad idea, the animals are always the ones that suffer, so many unwanted "pets" are abandoned by their owners each, year, the lucky few end up in sanctuaries whilst the rest ??????......

  • Beautiful faces all!! I saw an article in a British newspaper about savannah cats and I commented on how bad it is to cross breed wild and domestic cats, and then asked all posters to check out Big Cat Rescue. The world needs to know about what you do for abandoned big cats, and how bad it is to cross-breed or keep them as pets.

  • Thanks for doing that the more people who learn the truth about these "designer" cats the better :)

  • for animals that were not born in your sanctuary but have experienced mistreatment by previous owners I find them to be reallywell mannered and pleased.

    Good job there.

  • Thanks, we're doing our best, we often get comments from many visiting animal care staff that we have the happiest and most content cats they've ever seen! :)

  • They are so beautiful! I don't see how anyone could abuse them.

  • Oh god, Watched this one again. This is awesome, I wish I could work with that.

    - Fan from Sweden.

  • Was that cat at 0:18 cross-eyed?

  • Yes, that was Nyla, she was a product of the entertainment industry, backyard breeders sometimes inbreed there cats which makes them more docile/dependant.

  • I believe so! LOL

  • its a leopard i tink or its a jaguear sory my inlish is bad XD

  • omg i love the big cats so much, i want to see them! i wish there was a program where you take voluntary workers and yeach them how to care for the animals. i would sign up

  • We offer 3 month internships for people aged 18 and over, visit our website BigCatRescue*org for more info :)

  • OMG COOL!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH!! BCR FTW

  • Omigawsh! Great vid once again :D I was wandering why u guys dont put them back in the wild...I mean...isnt there any other way then keeping them in cages like that?

  • Thanks, unfortunately this is the best we can do for them, there's no way these cats can be released back into the wild, they associate people with food and many came from backyard breeders/pet trade so their genetics aren't 100%. What we need to do is preserve habitat so the existing wild cats can survive, if we can't do this we are in trouble!

  • I'd love to visit when I'm old enough to drive! :)

And get a job to pay... :/

Thanks for all the hard work, I'm sure those cats are very thankful!

  • PLEASE HELP BCR!

  • I'd love to go there one day. Thanks for saving these cats. For making a difference.

  • I was there in 2001, havent had a chance to go back, but it realy is an amazing place.

  • Woah, you'd definitely see lots of changes and new cats...come back soon :)

  • I'm sure - last I was there you didnt have the white tigress, any male lions or the liger hehe -- been keep track online and with the newsletter.

  • That's good to hear, hope you make it back to see the sanctuary in the future, maybe 2011 a decade later?? :)

  • Haha.. unfortunately it may take that long... wow. XD I remember I wanted to volunteer there. I was only like... 11 when I went.

  • Well I hope you make it back someday :)

  • Hey, I saw Scott on monsterquest today.

  • Which episode did you see him on?

  • I saw him on the episode where people say they saw a couple large black cats in the Northeast, Palisades area. He was just on there talking about what kind of cats it could have been. Interesting.

  • is that a leucistic serval at 0:45 i see or is it another subspecies?

  • It's a white serval caused by a double recessive gene, we have two at the sanctuary.

  • oh yes a double recessive gene. as in bb rather than Bb or BB? it is beautiful by the way. is the other one of the same family?

  • at :15 is that liger??

  • No that was Hercules one of our snow leopards, Freckles the liger is at 0:27.

  • omg freckles is huge!!!! lol

r any of those leopards in this video cheetaro???

  • She is a big girl! No cheetaro, sorry that was Nyla in the tree :)

  • yes she is i would for sure not wanna bump into her in the wild lol.

aw well nyla is beautiful!!! leopards r my 2nd fav cat. there so beautiful!

  • These cats are so beautiful. I wish people would stop abusing them, it makes me so sad. But I'm glad BCR is there to help them. Thanks guys!

  • wow, im all for the cause but you should really tell people that texting that number will cost them 5 bucks

  • It's all there on the screen and in the description to the video, thanks for watching :)

  • What's the white cat called? It's face almost looks like a house cat but for the long ears.

  • That was Tonga one of our two white servals at BCR.

  • great work being done..beautiful animals, wish I lived closer to the facility! 5 stars

  • I love you guys!

  • Kinnies! :D

  • Wow, that white tiger! What a beauty!

  • Was that Herc?!!

  • Yep, there's no mistaking that intense face of his! :)

  • did you know snow leopards cant roar? is that truie i heard it in a magazine and wanted to know if it was true

  • They can roar, they don't stand there and roar like a lion would to mark their territory, but they can roar like a tiger can if they don't like something!

  • i thought it was only the panthera genus that has the different larynx causing the ability to roar.

  • Yeah, this is true, I guess roar was a bad word to use, they make a different variety of noises but cannot roar, sorry :)

  • My daughter always gets excited when you guys post a new video :)

I finally got to catch Lion feeding frenzy with Scott on it. Omg that would been so scary to be in the box with them trying to chew on it. You are brave!

  • Glad your daughter enjoys the videos! Which one is her favorite?

  • Any video of TJ!

She has been saving up her allowance [she's only 5] to pay for us all to go there on our next vacation ;) I'm hoping soon we'll be able to suprise her and her sister with a trip there.

  • I hope you make it to the sanctuary soon and i really hope TJ is in his pool splashing around for you guys! :)

  • princessxmommy,

Where did you see Scott in a lion feeding frenzy?

    I'd love to see that!

  • Lion Feeding Frenzy is on Animal Planet, you can check the website for TV schedules! Hope you find it.

  • US subscribers only.

  • When Freckle comes toward the camera, I got a chill in my heart!!

I can't even believe some states would even allow people to keep wild, exotic cats as a pet in the first place. The government must be pretty darn stupid to pass these laws.

  • great work you doin 5*

  • people keep them as pets????? wierdos! is there one of these in ohio?

  • Weird or just very stupid and ignorant!? There are several big cat places in Ohio, you just need to look at what a true sanctuary is, we DO NOT have contact with our cats or take them out in public.

  • Do you get any that had a good life?

  • Not really, no matter how much you love them or think you're doing a good job, these cats shouldn't be owned privately living in small cages.

  • i meant the people not you i think the big cat sanctuary is cool is there one in parma is what i meant to say

  • I understood what you were saying, I'm not sure if there is a rescue in Parma??

  • Such a great charity.

  • 0:12 really cute xD

  • now what happens when we text you to that number???

  • If you text TIGER to 20222 *A one-time charge of $5 will be added to your mobile phone bill. Standard messaging rates and additional fees may apply. Check out the description to the video for the full information, Thank you!

  • oh well lol i dont pay my phone bill my mommy does hahaha. i really wish i could help maybe when i get a little older which is in about 4 or 6 years ha really sorry i wish i could help. :(

  • 0:25 This one's very pretty, who is it?
