Thanks! Always wanted to see this but never got the chance. When a couple got an photo of Classy Freddie signed for me at an autograph convention years ago he let me down when the picture arrived & instead of an insult he wrote "To a future champ" after they told him about my illness. His autobiography is great fun & the man sure did pay his dues in the Business. In this he just sounds like anyone thinking he is sitting with a trusted friend but with multiple cameras he had to be in on it.
blassie was in on the joke!, it took 5 hours to film this, for 1 hour of footage, what does that say to you? different takes, maybe some outakes, it was all staged, but it must say something about blassie's acting skills, when zmunda (the fan) comes over and is sick, blassie cant stop laughing, if this was in a real place, blassie would have reacted differently im sure!!, if it is this believable, maybe he missed his true calling!
After Zmuda came over and took "snot" out of his nose, Andy happens to have fake snot in his pocket...That should've raised Blassie's suspicion...After all the shenanigans, Blassie was smart to let Andy pay the bill...In a way, that was payback...When Blassie said, "What the hell ever happened to the human race?", & then spits, that was funny...Truth of the matter is that, though this is entertaining, Andy made a fool of Blassie...Blassie got suspicious, based on his "your friends" statement.
Watching this makes me cry. We lost one of the greatest. I miss Sambo's. I had my first patty melt there when i was eleven on the way to San Diego. I drank chocolate milk with it. It was wonderful. And their pancakes. AHHHHHHHHH.
That sounds delicious. Sambo's, Andy, and Freddie are all spirits now. They have stepped out of their physical forms. Much like how a cup of water doesn't cease to be just because you toss it in the ocean.
I'm sitting here thinking about all those cars going by on the freeway, and all those passersby on the street... I wonder how many of us are immortalized in a movie or documentary and don't even know it. Or how many of us are in the background of someone's 20-year-old family pictures.
That's some HEAVY stuff. I've thought of a lot of things in my twenty five years on this earth, but that's by far the heaviest thought I've ever encountered.
Once a long time ago I looked at pics of myself at age 4, at an amusement park, and saw all these strangers around in the background. And I wondered what became of all of them. They didn't ask to be apart of my childhood momento, they just happened to be there. Since then, I think about it every so often. Those people on the freeway and on the sidewalks are just going about their business in 1982... Where they were going, what they were thinking? Were they having a good day?
It's funny, Freddie Blassie was not going to pay the check under any circumstance. He made absolutely no attempt to even look like he would pay. Then he comments about Zmuda not paying his check.
Was that Tony Clifton?

Yes, that's my favorite thing about pot...being alright with the obtuse thinking that we're usually too inhibited to share
