I just wanted to say I looked up the "white horse" prophacy on both LDS.org & mormon.org. I found nothing. I know that it was told to us that b4 the end (rapture, 2nd coming whatever you want to call it) the constitution would "hang by a thread" but all the implication tat mostly non-Mormons think it refers to (basically Mormons will enslave non-Mormons) swhould be taken with a grain of salt at the very least. Those things aren't church doctorine.

What I gather from the White Horse Prophecy is that Mr. Smith was talking about the coming American Civil War, World War I, the Russian Revolution and the second coming of Jesus. What else am I missing?

@sfiorare btw. This was given in 1844. A couple of people died in the Civil War...so things were pretty rough less than 20 years after Joseph was killed.
I think that was very interesting. I had heard about a white horse prophecy....thought it had to do with native americans though...lol. Grim future for sure, but that's why I will be in the mountains. in Trinity, California. It is beatiful and pristine and a real sense of community. Lots of ways to sustain yourself without help. It won't be like all the comforts of home, but it will be better than big cities and places of big population.

I believe Joseph Smith was a true prophet no matter what other people say.. there is so much skepticism when it comes to JS prophecies but these are starting to be fulfilled..he predicted his own death and sealed his testimony with his blood.

Amen. After 10 years of living as a faithful LDS convert in my 30's, the Father called me out. I find Mormons to be a genuine people without a Scriptural foundation.
A prophet will not teach a believer to disregard Torah. I do believe the Almighty sent him as He has sent others. Deuteronomy 13:3 - "do not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for Yahweh your Elohim is trying you to know whether you love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being.
I follow your philosphy of reading if I feel the need to read something whether it be history, religion, science etc..I read a very broad spectrum for my own enrichment.

I could not help notice all the key words that seem to be taken right from the Book of revelation. I feel revelation is the book to go by it has a more correct description of events that happened and that are coming. Daniel 2:44 reveals that God's Kingdom is going to crush all earthly governments that conflicts with your white horse prophecy.
@MrGlowster - There is no confliction of the White Horse Prophecy and the Book of Revelation. What I don't understand is how manoftruth reads and accepts this prophecy as truth but then goes to say you can't follow men and just need God. That is a total contradiction of ideas. He either accepts it and the messenger of it as a prophet of God or not. You can't pick and choose what to believe. If the person giving the information claims to be a prophet then follow everything he says not tiny bits.

If people actually read their Bibles, they would understand how this plays into Ezekiel 37-39, Isaiah 18, Hosea and Revelation, as well as the George Washington Prophecy. I believed what Joseph Smith was saying before even hearing this, based on the above scriptures. The United States is the land promised to King David, we are Israel, we are the nation sifted out from amongst the nations in Ezekiel, we are the nation in Isaiah, knowledge truly is increasing as Daniel promised.
incase none of you know, My church says we are in the prospertity gospel dispensation, The prosperity gospel tells us how we can aquire wealth now instead of the salvation gospel this gospel is about living it up now and get to heaven also. its about having your cake and eating it to. I am curious about something though MOT. The White Horse, Red Horse, Pale Horse and Dark (Black) Horse are all part of this prophecy but simple mathematics tells me this is linked to another prophecy The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; therefore we are to be wary of all. Perhaps false prophets?

Hi careful, Great question, (how to trade.) During Roman times, soldiers were paid 1 silver oz. per day. Any Professional today earns roughly $200. per day. If there was a currency recall & devaluation, with a decimal point, reset, then silver at $20 an oz. today, would become worth $200. a more reasonable inflation adjusted realistic price. Then I would accept a silver oz. per day for my work and extend that offer to you or anyone else. Otherwise it's $20 or 0ne oz. of silver per hour.

endtime - If you are referring to the spraying from the air by small airplanes, I do happen to know what this is all about. They are only testing a new series of spray nozzles for pesticide and their effectiveness in advance of next spring. All that is being sprayes is nothing more than water with a trace amount of dye so the coverage can be measured. Happen to know one of the pilots who is actually involved in this test operation. So relax on this one, but a good observation by you.

No, the new millenium did not start until 2001. 1BC was one year before christ was born. The next year was AD1 (1st Year of our Lord). There is no year "0". Therefore, 2000 years after AD1 is 2001.

One thing to remember that Jesus said was, when they hate you, remember they hated me first. Christ will come in the darkest hour of humanity, when there is little faith and hope left. He will come to harvest his children!

I agree with this wholeheartedly. In the gospels, it seems like Jesus is really saying that He will return when there is little faith on earth. I think it's in Luke when he says, "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" It would be nice if the rapture is true, but I happen to believe that we might be going through this storm first before the return of Jesus.
Too bad this isn't a real prophecy. Not because Joseph Smith wasn't a prophet (he was), but because he never gave this prophecy. It was falsely attributed to him.

I just wanted to say I looked up the "white horse" prophacy on both LDS.org & mormon.org. I found nothing. I know that it was told to us that b4 the end (rapture, 2nd coming whatever you want to call it) the constitution would "hang by a thread" but all the implication tat mostly non-Mormons think it refers to (basically Mormons will enslave non-Mormons) swhould be taken with a grain of salt at the very least. Those things aren't church doctorine.

I think that was very interesting. I had heard about a white horse prophecy....thought it had to do with native americans though...lol. Grim future for sure, but that's why I will be in the mountains. in Trinity, California. It is beatiful and pristine and a real sense of community. Lots of ways to sustain yourself without help. It won't be like all the comforts of home, but it will be better than big cities and places of big population.

Amen. After 10 years of living as a faithful LDS convert in my 30's, the Father called me out. I find Mormons to be a genuine people without a Scriptural foundation.
A prophet will not teach a believer to disregard Torah. I do believe the Almighty sent him as He has sent others. Deuteronomy 13:3 - "do not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for Yahweh your Elohim is trying you to know whether you love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being.

I could not help notice all the key words that seem to be taken right from the Book of revelation. I feel revelation is the book to go by it has a more correct description of events that happened and that are coming. Daniel 2:44 reveals that God's Kingdom is going to crush all earthly governments that conflicts with your white horse prophecy.

What I don't understand is how manoftruth reads and accepts this prophecy as truth but then goes to say you can't follow men and just need God. That is a total contradiction of ideas. He either accepts it and the messenger of it as a prophet of God or not. You can't pick and choose what to believe. If the person giving the information claims to be a prophet then follow everything he says not tiny bits.

If people actually read their Bibles, they would understand how this plays into Ezekiel 37-39, Isaiah 18, Hosea and Revelation, as well as the George Washington Prophecy. I believed what Joseph Smith was saying before even hearing this, based on the above scriptures. The United States is the land promised to King David, we are Israel, we are the nation sifted out from amongst the nations in Ezekiel, we are the nation in Isaiah, knowledge truly is increasing as Daniel promised.

Hi careful, Great question, (how to trade.) During Roman times, soldiers were paid 1 silver oz. per day. Any Professional today earns roughly $200. per day. If there was a currency recall & devaluation, with a decimal point, reset, then silver at $20 an oz. today, would become worth $200. a more reasonable inflation adjusted realistic price. Then I would accept a silver oz. per day for my work and extend that offer to you or anyone else. Otherwise it's $20 or 0ne oz. of silver per hour.

Good stuff, my gut tells me the "end" won't be in my life time (I'm only 30). But I'm sure it will get interesting. Truth is out there if we seek it. Jopeph Smith and Book of Mormon have a lot of insight. And you too MOT. :)

interesting post and I respect your right to freedom of speech and I'm glad you exercise it.however it is my understanding that in the Mormon faith that the living prophet is the oracle of god and Joseph Feilding smith said that the white horse prophesies were false then to say otherwise makes you no better than those polygamist sects holding onto polygamy. what separates LDS from other Christians is the word of the living prophet so how do you say you have proof that this prophesy is true?

If you read widely and want to know what happened to the " Lost Ten Tribes" of Israel ( Hebrew Peoples ) not Jews of today's modern state of Israel ( they are decendants of the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi: The priest tribe ) not the Northern Kingdom which was Israel ( Hebrew peoples: The Lost Ten Tribes ). Then read " The United States And Great Britain In Prohecy, " by Herbert W. Armstrong.

How come he does not mention the new gospel for this century. Its called the prosperity gospel. We are in the prosperity dispensation and if watch christian tv you would know this. Did you here the sermon Gods spirit rides on the back of the dollar bill. very interesting. With the new prosperity gospel everyone can prosper.

Nice toast by Smith...guess he missed the part given by Jesus that said, "for if anyone shall strike you, turn then and offer them your other cheek..."...nope, seems his profession was to placing curses...nice. For what is the test of a prophet? It is not stating a condition...the test of a true prophet is in the Bible...stop worshipping Smith, and look to God the Father, for even Jesus said that even he prayed to God, and we should as well.

endtime - If you are referring to the spraying from the air by small airplanes, I do happen to know what this is all about. They are only testing a new series of spray nozzles for pesticide and their effectiveness in advance of next spring. All that is being sprayes is nothing more than water with a trace amount of dye so the coverage can be measured. Happen to know one of the pilots who is actually involved in this test operation. So relax on this one, but a good observation by you.

I liked the video on the long bond prior to this.
This white horse prophecy stuff is just too far out for me. Not being a christian (and not having any inclination to become one), the constant bible thumping is mind numbing.
I felt like a pagan zombee after listening to this sermon.

No, the new millenium did not start until 2001. 1BC was one year before christ was born. The next year was AD1 (1st Year of our Lord). There is no year "0". Therefore, 2000 years after AD1 is 2001.

MOT, have you ever heard of Our Lady of Fatima? 2. If you are in good spiritual standings with our Lord you will have no fear and it actually feels very lifting. I have known and know the end is near and I leave it up to our Almighty to decide my fate. I know I'm in good standings with him as of 8 years ago and comfortable with my journey home if he calls.

In scripture the donkey represents the dollar bill or money. So its out with the Old and in with the New. We need money when were here and salvation is for later when were ready to go. I agree with this wholeheartedly. In the gospels, it seems like Jesus is really saying that He will return when there is little faith on earth. I think it's in Luke when he says, "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" It would be nice if the rapture is true, but I happen to believe that we might be going through this storm first before the return of Jesus.

Too bad this isn't a real prophecy. Not because Joseph Smith wasn't a prophet (he was), but because he never gave this prophecy. It was falsely attributed to him.
