unfortunately, when something is in limited quantity in this world, we as humans AUTOMATICALLY put more value on that thing. it doesn't matter what it is. it could be existance, gold, collector figurines(still in the box) the chance that humans would evolve and i would be here typing this message is so small, prehaps, .0001%, since it requires so many factors to be perfectally aligned (water, hot and cold, landmass, suns, stars, galaxies... etc.) our existence is INCREDIBLY VALUABLE.
oh & as far as atheism is concerned well atheists need to grow up too, cause they are just as bad as fundies; atheists aren't immune to dogmas.
this is all so childish; one wants to believe god loves them & knows best; while the other wants to believe nature knows best.
never mind ufo abuctions, instead let's do a debate on whether or not penis size matters & what % of women fake orgasms & do men really care that most women fake it.
I find all them god debates really boring;un insightful & dim witted.
i find talking to a dead mouse more interesting.
all them debates about god are so child like all based on egoism; all about me me & me! & does god care about me.
as I said so very child like,
so god must only exist to make me happy & feel loved. as I said this is all to childish people's dogmas about god are childish people in all faiths need to grow up.
god didnt creat the world just to take care of u like daddy.
I have trouble understanding how Mark (the theist) can think these things. He is my World Religions instructor and he seems so logical and rational in my class. He does a fabulous job of espousing and defending claims that aren't his own. Maybe my atheistic presuppositions just preclude me understanding.
So true. Education only leads to moral corruption and rejection of God. In the long run, its best to stay ignorant, child-like, as this is the best state to accept the existence of god.

I believe in MICROevolution within species, just not that one species can come from another. We did not evolve from single cell that became fish that crawled up on the land. But within the human species we have all different colors and shapes and sizes - changes within the species, but we are all still human.
I hope that makes me beliefs more clear. I am a six-day creationist, BTW. :)
I'd have to disagree with you there. In any case, it seems most six-day creationists believe in speciation, but not the development of entire new "kinds" of living things.
@aaronshaf2006 id have to agree with you there. to claim that one species never turns into another professes a large misunderstanding of what evolution explains. besides, we have a wealth of information because of an ever increasing fossil record that shows a transition between flightless dinosaurs and birds, a transition between land mammals and whale-like creatures, transitions between lixard-like dinosaurs and mammals. i could go on.
@TheCraigrobson And it`s not only the record of the fossils, but the concurrence of the conclusions of all apropriate sciences.. Evolution is as solid a theory as gravity.
@newbirth35 You don't believe mutations? There's living evidence of mutations all over the place, in every species. All evolution is is genetic mutations that actually stay with that species. Then over time, lots of time, those mutations may cause visible changes. When enough of these visible changes occur we then call it a different species. Evolution has more evidence than any religion ever has.
OMG He says his feelings are evidence for the existence of god. LOL

I don't see how evolution can be true. Species don't ever becomes other species
