I heard Bebo first in Malibu around 2000. It was when I recommitted to Christ. I've since lost my faith but Bebo always gives me a double take. He is a great talent and a beautiful songwriter.

I heard this song first on the "ten thousand days" album. I was at a concert of Bebo's a few years back at John Brown University and while he played this song (guitar only) the cathedral was completely silent as with most reflective songs but after he finished the silence remained for quite some time. Bebo paused and then said "thank you for that" and moved on to the next song before you could no longer hear a pin drop.

I just read the lyrics to this song while I was listening to it, and it brought tears to my eyes. It is such a beautifully crafted song, and so captivating. I feel like I'm in that same situation, wanting to do God's will so badly, but unsure of how much that will cost. It helps to know that Jesus is there with me, feeling my pain, and that the future "my Maker holds."
