I got a few questions for you: What are you growing, thats a pretty complicated grow room to grow anything other than marijuana (and its clearly not pot, lol). I would also like to know what 7:1:1 means, (and the 6500K). Your plants seemed to grow straight up instead of towards the bulbs, was it the foil that helped to disperse the light?
Ultimate question: Which was the fogger system, left or right? (I am guessing the left was the fogger, I wish you were explicit though :P )
@oaney I am growing peppers. 7:1:1 is the ratio of Red to Blue to White diodes in the lights. 6500K is the color temperature of the compact fluorescent lights that you see hanging in the center. The reason the plants didn't grow towards the bulbs is that the LEDs are stronger and where overhead. Left was the fog.
size net pots, and have 12 sites with 4 rectangle tubes and 3 sites per tube or 3 tubes with 4 sites, bigger pots, bigger plants,i want to put mist nozzles in and have air stones at the bottom on=f the tubes between each site and at the bottom ,a sort of aero/dwc hybrid system, but if i use a fogger, should i cut the timer to not much spraying for the mist nozzles?did you have the mist nozzles and the fogger running?
@bulletproof2353 I agree that it is best to use a fog/NFT or Fog/aero-hydro setup. Using fog alone doesn't allow the plant to uptake a large enough volume of water for transpiration unless you have a very large number of foggers. I think you've got a good system, just remember not to over complicate it. Sometimes more doesn't equate to better results as this test shows.
i read on the nutrimist site that the mist is not really enough, especially when the plants and roots get established, they recomend that you use a sort of nft at the bottom, they have the mister but also have water flowing for the roots and the bottom , i was thinkign of building something like what you have but bigger gullies, out of foam, the kind for pouring concrete foundations ,and using air stones at the bottom 1 between each site, 4 sites per channel/gully and bigger net pots, hydrobucket
what do you mean by 7:1:1 ? and what do you mean by 23 watt compact flourescent ,6500k ,what is the 6500k mean? and what does the 7:1;1 mean with the led ufo lights? what are those numbers? lumens?
are the ufo lights expensive? and why is the light so redish? shouldt it be better to use ultraviolet or blueish light for veg,and switch to red for flowering?
also is the one with the fogger also using the aero jets?or is there at least water flowing in the gully?

In the end the Fogponic side produced way more vegetation. However, the mass of the fruits from both side was almost identical. I use my foggers as humidifiers in most of my grows now...they are awesome for cloning, but I've never seen any added yield from using them.
Wholy shit! the fog/aeroponis is producing way more, but this is as expected of a properly functioning unit. The 2 on the left you mention are both Fog and aero ponic together correct? And if so is the fog interacting inside the aeroponic one as well? and again if so Is the ccombo of fog VS fog and Aeroponic doing better than the other? Not talking about the aero only as it's clear it's lacking behind the fog and hybrid. Cheers, IC.
@saywordson357 its vinyl fence post from home depot or lowes get the 4 inch with end caps and then get a 2" hole saw bit and then some net cups supper simple and way cheaper your self i can show you how to make any system you want
Because people who had grown with fog before me advised that plants grown in fog require less nutrients both systems during the peak of growth were at 850 PPM. I never had any trouble with my foggers at all. I think alot of disk failure is caused by turning them off and on. I just kept mine on 24/7
I originally had 2 LED UFO 7:1:1 plus 2 23W 6500K CFLs. Now I have the same two UFOs plus a 63W 2700K CFL. I just turn the UFOs of during the video so people can see the true color of the plants.
Fogponics is growing like crazy

appears to be fog FTW. I really thought it was gonna be the same throughout.

What ppm did you use for the fog vs aero? Was it ever a problem with having to clean your fog generator?
