i kicked a 49er ass in a race! i was on a windsurfer techno and i using a 6.8 in 25 knots gusting 30 and im only 13 it was very dissapointing but it was kool and inresting to see that boat operate

@Xpapasmurf05X well that's because windsurfers are generally faster - the only monohull boat that can really beat windsurfers are foiling moths - and then only in light winds

49ers are a lot faster than most other boats, however.

@Husuf1 Not really mate, 18 foot skiffs aint faster than a moth, and certainly wont beat a windsurfer. They might be able to be faster than a 49er but will not "trash" it.
