  • You cannot add in your description a movie that came out many years after "Magic". It's really stupid!

  • Woh oh oh it's MAGIC

    You know

    Never believe it's not soooo

  • how many times do u have to watch this to get a nightmare from fats?

  • I really want to see this.

  • My freind said this movie would help me with my "Puppet Phobia"....I don't see how it's helping!

  • @MrFlight180 I hear you, this trailer gave me gave me a fear of those damn ventriloquist dummies back when I was a kid. I had one as a toy,

never touched it again after I saw this trailer.

  • LETS DO THIS ....LEROY JENKINS!!!!

  • wish this movie was on here...it's a classic

  • LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!

  • My brother is in his mid thirties, and I showed this to him because I remember that he was terrified of this when he was little. He actually jumped when the dummy sad "Abra". I kinda felt bad after laughing about it because the look on his face was priceless (I saw that little kid again).

  • I think anyone ,in our age bracket, was traumatized more by the trailer than the movie itself. LOL

  • I saw this when I was about six, at my grandmas house.Scared me so bad I was unable to move. I heard somewhere that due to some parental bitching, this trailer was taken off the air. Dunno if that is true or not.The PHANTASM trailer had the same effect on me,Ditto SUSPIRIA. They just dont make em like that anymore.

  • The trailer still gives me chills to this day!! LOL

  • The movie really isn't half as creepy as this trailer! I just rented it on netflix and couldn't help sitting in front of the tv and repeating the trailer (wishing it was the movie...lol...and that it was longer) I keep wanting the last part to be "magic is fun....when you're dead" instead of "we're dead" but oh well. :-P

  • I have never seen this movie but what is it about?

  • Hopkins plays a ventriloquist with a split personality. Gradually, his dummy (named Fats) takes over his life & commands him to murder (his agent, his lover's husband).

  • Oh okay I'll have to check it out, it sounds like a good movie.

  • This is my favorite "horror" film , along with ghost story, the last film of fred astaire. You'd love it. Get it off netflix

  • Abracadabra i sit on his knee

presto chango and he is me.

hocus pocus we take here to bed.

magic is fun... we are dead

  • Abracadabra I piss in your tea

Nobody knows I'm the bad maitre'd!

Hocus Pocus I crap in your bed

Passive aggression is fun..but if they catch you you're dead!

  • @tubian323 ROFL, wow :)...

  • I can't understand what he's saying in the second verse. "Hocus pocus, we take her to bed?" and then something ending with "we're dead."

  • "magic is fun!"

  • Thanks.

  • This trailer scared me to death as a kid! And yeah, the movie isn't very scary.

  • Holy crap, it did me too. I was sitting there, all happy and stuff, eating my popcorn, enjoying the late movie (only one was on, as there were only three channel on TV then) after mom and dad went to bed and then BAM! This thing came on and tore my widdle soul out! Haha. After that, I'd run and turn the sound down when the commercials came on so I didn't have to hear it if it came on again. Over on IMDB there are plenty relating how their psyche was torn out by this.

  • this commercial is really mis leading to the movie.

  • When I was nine, the trailer freaked me out, but the actual movie wasn't as scary.

  • lmao it used to scare me too when i was like 6 lmao.. but then another one came out when i was 14 and me and my girlfriend watched it at her house and we didnt even finish the movie because we ended up fucking :D lmao

  • I was 6 when this movie came out. Then they use to play it on TV all the time. It scared the crap out of me.

  • It was a case of split personality,

And I'll take Fats over old pull the string Chucky anyday.

  • Well said

  • We're gonna be a stah aaarrr!!!

  • this is WAY more scary then the acual movie!

the movie is still great,though... reminded me of hitchcoack at points

  • Good observation

  • I saw this only one time when I was a kid. It came on at 8:59 and it was a school night. I was sitting right in front of the TV and for the first second or so I thought this was going to be a funny commercial. When it was over, Dad said "Bed".

Yeah... no sleep that night. That night a certain dummy moved in our house and set up shop under my bed for a few years. Scary.

  • Iremember seeing this as a child and hiding under the bed.Ive since heard that the trailer was pulled off the air.

  • This is pretty cool! I think I know where he is! ("Fats")

  • love the 70's.

  • This video should never had been on TV when I was a child. I am scarred 4 life. Dummies do come alive. Go Chucky Go!

  • Chucky The Schmucky,

Fats beats that kiddie toy hands down.

  • I have remembered this trailer for almost thirty years, thanks so much for posting it. The movie scared me and I fell in love with Ann Margaret.

  • Good grief. I can see why people found this unsettling as children. Good trailer.

  • Fats is one creepy dummy! Great movie! Anthony and Ann were fantastic!
