wow, this is just like me except instead of my dad it's my mom. and why it's worst it's because mother's are suppose to take care of their daughters and love them, not call them fat and ugly spitting image of their father, and pull me the hair and throw me outside when i don't clean good enough. this is been going on since i was 7 years old and i survived all that abuse, but lately...i get so tired of her beatings and i can feel my walls cracking...

My mom came up to me a few weeks ago saying i needed to make pictures of bruises my stepfather gave her in case she wanted to go to the police.. she was trying to protect my cat he wanted to kill her.. and he is really violent I'm always so scared to be home when he's here :/ he yells everyday about almost literally EVERYTHING he has hit me and my little sisters too a couple times. Sorry i really needed to share that
@908twister you need to do something about it. go to the police and don't be afraid to tell someone of authority if he hits you. don't become a victim and DON'T let it go on! your mom has a right to protect her children and herself (and pets) if someone is threatening. HE is in the wrong - not you or your mom! please tell someone. xo

My grandma was mentally abused by her first husband and she couldn't leave until at least 30 years later. Her life was a living hell. He left at 8 at night and came back at night the next day. He'd tell her she was a piece of shit, he'd physically abuse the kids (especially my mom), and she was too scared to do anything. He had never caused a bruise but once it got so bad that he tried to choke her.. but mental abuse can be as terribly painful as physical, if not worse.. Remember that.

I have this earge to say this. Mental abuse lowers your confedence, your suffering for your whole life because of the words that braught you down. 'Bruises fade, but the pain remains the same'. Those words don't fade. Every day they repeat in your head, over and over, 'It isn't so easy to forget'. I come to this video everyday, just so I can hear the music and read the comments. I get so much strength from it.
Myself I grew up with violence, drugs, alcohol and abuse. It has made me who I am today, and it almost makes me cry to read all these strong people's story's.
It's really cruel to ask for this, but I heared Chrisitina say in an interview that she had cried in the recording of the song and she kept it in the album version. But i've never found the cry, can anyone give me the exact time where she cries?

@LanzoEmilia well you shouldn't say it's worse because some unfortunate people actually get killed by physical abuse, mental abuse LASTS longer and a lot of time mental and physical end up going hand and hand if someone is mentally abusive they usually end up being physical as well, usually not always

My grandma was mentally abused by her first husband and she couldn't leave until at least 30 years later. Her life was a living hell. He left at 8 at night and came back at night the next day. He'd tell her she was a piece of shit, he'd physically abuse the kids (especially my mom), and she was too scared to do anything. He had never caused a bruise but once it got so bad that he tried to choke her.. but mental abuse can be as terribly painful as physical, if not worse.. Remember that.

@inmyboxer It was just after her dad had contacted her but she shot him down because of what he used ot do to her mum and they found her curled up on the floor in the recording booth lowered the mic and told her to sing because it was the best time to record the sog due to the emotions she was going through

I have this earge to say this. Mental abuse lowers your confedence, your suffering for your whole life because of the words that braught you down. 'Bruises fade, but the pain remains the same'. Those words don't fade. Every day they repeat in your head, over and over, 'It isn't so easy to forget'. So many of us relate to Christina's music, especially the meaningful songs she's braught to us. She deserves the best and more, I think we owe her thanks for her inspiration, we will all be OK.

I come to this video everyday, just so I can hear the music and read the comments. I get so much strength from it.
Myself I grew up with violence, drugs, alcohol and abuse. It has made me who I am today, and it almost makes me cry to read all these strong people's story's.

@LanzoEmilia well you shouldn't say it's worse because some unfortunate people actually get killed by physical abuse, mental abuse LASTS longer and a lot of time mental and physical end up going hand and hand if someone is mentally abusive they usually end up being physical as well, usually not always
