If this was the only thing Susan ever did during her entire (hopefully long and happy) life - it will be more than enough reason for her existence.

This is about a girl shunned by others, they blame her for evilness without her understanding why. She is longing for a loved one but no man will consider her. At the end (in death) she becomes earth maiden that can have mold and dirt embracing and kissing her as her groom.

The sweet contrasting tone change at the end just cuts so deep in the soul.
