I looked up and watched this adaptation whilst preparing for the role of Napoleon in a recent theatre production of "Animal Farm", and the film was bloody awful, especially the ending. The only bit I was pleased with was the puppetry involved in creating old Major's face.
I have no idea why they didn't just select a Dick King Smith story at random instead and go ahead and produce that, rather than using George Orwell's "Animal Farm" and ripping its guts out. Strange choice.
