Not true about having to keep the rear sight off if you mount an rmr. Ive seen plenty of sights mounted in a co witness config. so i dont reallly know what he's taliking about. I mean its easy to look up, plenty of guys have it on you tube.
@TeaPartyPatriot74 The comment that you're referring to relates to the HK .45 Tactical, not the FNP 45 Tactical. The HK doesn't have the slide milled to receive an RMR. Not that it cannot be done, but it would be at an extra fee from a competent gunsmith. Thx for the comment!
@juanriv01 Sorry about that bro, i heard you wrong. Got a question, i have a springfield xdm 3.8 in 40 cal. Ive seaching for all the videos i can comparing hk tac to the fn tac and i was wondering what you think is a better firearm. One thing has me leaning to the hk is i dont think ill ever put an rmr on it after the osprey and 200 tax stamp.
@TeaPartyPatriot74 That's a tough question man. the HK Tac is a great weapon that ruled in that department for many years. No one really gave the FN Tac a chance at first, thinking that it wouldn't catch up, but it has because it offers some great features that added to the HK would end up costing an arm & a leg. Plus the capacity of the FN @ 15 + 1 is unmatched in .45 ACP. The HK is an undisputed classic but for the money & features the FN is a super buy. You can't go wrong with either!
Good job, thumbs up. I just ordered an all black as well. I just thought that after being worn for some time the tan would start looking bad. As well, I'm never really around desert, and have no need to look desert army-like, lol.
Thanks for the review Johnny. It was very informative. I didn't know about the trigger pin I'm going to double check mine when I get home. Also good information on the rmr sight and the pross and cons of the FM milled vs a gunsmith doing it for you which would for sure void the warranty on a new gun.
One question and maybe we can start a debate. Tan vs Black and why. This goes to you Johnny and all other viewers. Please comment.
@zaldivarbigboy Tan has always been the way I wanted to go but the lack of inventory and the common complaint that it's tuff to keep clean, made me choose black.
It seems like the tan ones are becoming less abundant than the black model. I really hope they would make the tan ones kind of like a limited run. As far as cleaning it. It literally take only 5-10 minutes more to clean than what a black one would mostly cause you can see where all the deposits are vs a black one which actually help you clean it truly good.
Once again thanks for taking the time to make the video Johnny.

I think I'd mix and match the colors.
The tan frame with a black slide would look beautiful on this handgun.

@AvocadoAtrocity I was thinking the same thing, of trying to buy a DFE frame to mix and match with the black.

I think its all up to you. I was able to get the stainless steel slide model at the gun show for $999.00 with the case 3 mags & mounting hardware.
