we invaded iraq becuase of the violance that kept escalating. thats why they called it operation iraqi freedom to liberate the country and stop insurgentsy, but till this day we are still trying to stop insurgentsy. we could have been out of iraq when the citys were liberated, but when the americans left the citys of iraq in the iraqi police bergade insurgents came back into the city and declared a victory against the americans..etc

While the war has been won by the US troops, (by themselves) and it has been recognized that the Iraqis will still require training, logistical support, and advisors, until the Iraqis are up to speed, The political process is ongoing, and will be worked out in time. Most of Iraq is at peace and I do not believe sending US troops to Afganistan is the wise thing to do. Thank god you are not a general. Al Qaeda has been decimated and Sadrs "Army" is no longer exists.
