And its actually much faster if you jump on the koopa that's like right next to the triple mystery box, stand on the triple mystery box and just walk straight and jump on the koopa. Now your time might run out, but you'll just loose one life. and you can go back to that same level which is (W1-2) and just do it again until you get three crowns 1,115

The maximum life you can actually get is 1,000= 1 crown/ 100=2 crown/ 15=3 crown so you can only get ( 1,115 )

This isn't exactly a glitch, it's present in most Mario games at least once, because if you time your distance from the wall and from jump time just right, you will build up a combo, which goes 100, 200, etc... 1-up, 1-up, etc. But thanks for finding one of the ones in this game!

I don't know if this can technically be called a "glitch." Maybe it's taking advantage of the way the game calculates scores, but you're not doing anything outside of the norm of the programming. I'd consider it more of an Easter egg than anything else.

Just tested this, and yes, it works. You can also do this with the Koopa to the left. After you get 999 lives, it will say Crown01. It will keep going up until Crown99, and then it will say CrownCrown1. After CrownCrown9, it will say CrownCrownCrown. So the life limit for this game is 1108.
