Arrgh I remember this damn level. I died countless times here (got a game over once, and almost got one the second time!) The part at 2:12 is where I died the most. All in all it took me over a month of sustained gameplay to finish complete this level 100% box count! So many harsh obstacles here! Definitely a contender for one of the hardest levels in the entire Crash Bandicoot series!

I love and hate this level simultaneously. The setting of the ruins and the music are totally awesome and well-designed (and arguably my favorite in this entire game), but if you're trying to get the Gem, well..."ugh!" is an understatement.

How tall do you think this entire building or set of buildings (from the first floor to the exit warp pad) is? Any guesses?

You are AWESOME!! I got passed this level on my 15th try (I didn't get the gem) I started with 4 or 5 lives; then in the middle (2:24) I kept dying, so I had about 5 lives after that part (3:12); then I swore I thought I was going to die, but FINALLY I beat it!(with 4-3 lives)

After that I beat the boss, then heavy machinery, cortex power, THEN in generater room I died, so I had to restart heavy machinery.

This is quite a hard level. I'm an avid crasher, and I'd say that trying to get the gem here whilst inexperienced is impossible, not quite as hard as fumbling in the dark, though.

I haven't played this for years now and the levels i always remembered due to their difficulty were toxic waste and slipery climb - pretty unforgiving levels.

this one is quite unforgiving at some parts and i never had any trouble with this level - i just enjoyed the atmosphere and the nice graphics, like in mosto f the levels of CB1^^
