@Sabmarie92 - Just because you have a situation that may be a problem (none of us wish a child is EVER abused), but mental abuse is just as horrible a situation in this country, and it is not only WOMEN who do it. Unfortunately you cannot tell the thousands of men and WOMEN who haven't seen their children in YEARS, because they have ex's who DO lie, that there is no such thing as Parental Alienation! My ex has went from seeing his kids for six months out of a year and still paying 400 a month in support down to a meesley eight weeks now, paying 736 dollars all because of false statements made by his ex wife. He is systematically being seperated from his children...

My step kids talk to my husband once a month, they act like they hate us all the time, and last summer his ex-wife took him to court trying to make it so he can only have 4 weeks in the summer with his kids because she says his 10 year old daughter "didn't feel comfortable here" why you ask....because he wasn't in her life for the first two years, did I mention she just turned 10, and that he was in Iraq during those two years he wasn't there.

Keep all of your records of divorce proceedings. I am 30 now and am rebuilding my relationship with my father. I have had all kinds of questions and problems trying to figure out the truth of what happened growing up as BOTH parents blamed the other for everything. Having all the records be it court ordered evalutaions affidavits financial statements etc. ALL of them have been absolutely amazing for discovering the truth and finding out just how manipulate the controlling parent was/is.

@gelly70 Amen! So true but it's hard when they all cover for each other. We have written letter upon letter and they always come back basically saying "sorry, not my department" or when you try and file a grievance they tell you that you either didn't file correctly or they will look in to your letter. I have piles of these letters where NO ONE wants to take responsibility! We hope this will all be exposed one day!!!

PA is evil. It's pure hatred and abuse of the other parent and ultimately the child. It's not any kind of love to purposefully interfere with a parent-child relationship. It should be a criminal act to engage in PA behaviours and it should be fully recognised as a epidemic affecting the Western World. So many real cases can't be anything other than an epidemic.

@doozytube As a child I lived through this hell. The damage that is done is horrible and incredibly hard to deal with. Just dont give up on your child. After 20 + years as an adult I am finally realizing and dealing with the consequences of living through this. The one thing that has made it possible for me to rebuild a relationship with my father was that he never gave up on me. Even if it was just a birthday card or christmas card to wish me the best even though he had not seen me in years.

I am a mother whom has been alienated from my children because my extremely abusive ex husband was able to manipulate the courts and CPS. He is a convicted felon for child abuse and was still able to regain custody. I was told the reasons were he had an attorney and makes 60k to 70k a year and I don't have either of those. I was denied my right to an attorney. This happens to mothers when we try to protect our children. The women whom have lied have made it very hard for us when it is true.

I am a father also facing this situation. The system IS set-up in women's favor. They are encouraged, & feel justified, in making the most horrific, outrageous accusations against a father in order to win favor in the courts eyes.

In the end, the result is usually the same: The father fights to keep contact with his children but is wiped out financially in the end & usually loses "custody."

There is a growing Men's movement that will hopefully change things for future generations. SPEAK OUT!!!

I lost my son to Parental Alienation. His mother apparently was unhappy with me rebuilding my life and moving on so she began a campaign of PA.

My son was 13... that was 11 years ago.

@grimmreaper2003 I thought maybe I should delete this post, but I want you to know that so many people feel the way you do, but that is just anger talking. I hope anyone who reads this and feels the same way as grimmreaper2003 knows that they are not alone, but that the alienating parents who do this to their children do have to answer to a Higher Power, and vengence is not YOURS. Seek out others who are also hurting and be of comfort to them. This is easier said than done, but HE is with you!

The best thing we can do is teach our sons about the many losing battles of men in these situations. Teach them to avoid accidental pregnancy. Teach them not to get married until they are at least 30 years old. Teach them to avoid what I call the "Beaver Trap".

My ex wife has convinced my two kids that I am abusive and that they hate me. I am going to sign over my parental rights so her new husband can adopt them. I do not want them to have to be lied to anymore, or made to lie for her. I dont like the situation she puts them in for the sake of trying to hurt me. I would rather let them go then to have her carry on with her mental manipulation. I have no faith or hope in "family" law, nor do I have the means to hire a lawyer.

After 13 years of alienation my 17 year old daughter mustered enough courage to sneak away and call me...The next day her mother had her cell phone disabled.

All those b-day and Christmas cards I mailed intercepted by their mother...no phone contact...Jeez, even prisoners are allowed phone and mail privileges...I can tell you it has not only destroyed my life...but major emotional distress for my two daughters.

Great comment and so much truth! Bullies are bullies because someone has hurt them. My husband and I have had many discussions about what motivates these people to destroy families! Why are men automatically deemed "villians" and mothers "saints".

As I write this my husband, the father in this video, is playing with our 3 year old and she loves him so much! He is such a GREAT DAD! His ex-wife is sick and so are the Court officials involved in the destruction of our family.

@JPP2672 there are some good vids here which help to answer that very difficult question. One such suggested that many of the alienating parents (i.e. dads too) have personality disorders or may be sociopaths, as they have no insight into how destructive their behaviour is, and no sense of guilt. I dont want to excuse the behaviour that causes so much anguish to all except the `abuser`, but it is a reason ... of sorts. In the end, these are just psychological labels, and dont stop it happening!

We agree wholeheartedly with you about our legal system but we have also realized that the corruption is so deep that it would take an act of God to change the system. The Bible verse you mentioned pretty much sums up how we have lived through this hell and that is taking the High Road and allowing God to deal with the alienating, lying mother who has to answer to Him someday.

I know that any time she was with her dad, she was extremely happy. She's also lost her sister, step-sister and step-brother. What a horrible person Michelle turned out to be. Ya, that is how our society works, people are judged by their "cover". This guy is a big guy, but also has a big heart. He is the kind of Dad that actually plays with his kids, bakes cookies, and plans his vacations around them. The court system is just like you, they judge him by his looks, not what kind of parent he had been!
