  • Is there a "strategy" to healthful human nutrition? Or is does that just "happen" also?

  • Why does he keep refering to himself in 3 person ... its creepy

  • @clickswitchh -cos his ego has attained a higher state than all the rest of us mere mortals.

  • @Bdiddly1 Riiight .. what is this .. the Mickey mouse club or something ... ?

  • reasons to live are available at the tree of life and through gabriels instruction my entire family and everyone i come into contact with become more enthusiastic about life .we all seem to need to be reminded that we are gods children.thanks to gabriels love i will never forget my essence. I AM THAT YHWH

  • So is Dr. gabriel saying " Live in the now." ??

  • @nutty85 -why not call him gabriel,do you call a plumber named john, plumber john...oh here comes plumber john,no you dont cos a doctor has to here the word dr before his name to re-affirm his status within the community etc,if gabriel actualy practiced what he preaches he would have no value in such thins as status symbols-in other words he is full of shit&you are just gullible, its common bloody sense-you are what you eat&he didnt invent the idea.

  • strange to hear someone referring to himself in third person. But this guy is awesome.

  • Love Dr. Gabriel

    Thanks

  • Getting myself out of the way to let things unfold on its own through me ... that's interesting. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow, great video - I just watched the new documentary "Frequency of Genius" that features Dr. Cousens...simply incredible. Thanks for posting!

  • What a dude!

  • thanks so much for this! i imagine it must be pretty hard to formulate a question after being hit with something like this :) so my new intention is to not have intention then? er... allowing without being complacent.

  • Live in the now, the past is complete and the future will take care of itself.

  • Hello,

A fantastic interview. So well done. I bought the book last night regarding live foods. Ive been vegan for quite a while. It is a "spiritual" path and its not an easy way to go but the benefits are so profound and yet can seem so subtle. The chemical changes back to the alkaline balance....Everything in our life is so dramatically effected....

I could go on and on.....

    Great video. Thank you.

    Regards,

  • The guy's nearly 70. Impressive.

Simply Raw is very inspiring. Recommended film. I have friends with diabetes. I've already helped one of them with his asthma (I just asked him to drink more water. It's a symptom of dehydration) and to his surprise it worked. He can minimise his asthma just by drinking more water.

    We're all dehydrated.

  • Great interview, Kevin. What has helped us move beyond intentions is Ho'oponopono and Oneness Blessings. In the Oneness phenomena, they have a saying, "All things are happening automatically." Gabriel explains this brilliantly! A key to what Gabriel says here near the beginning: "Grace happens". He also lives from inspiration, with God unfolding through him; a great example of a liberated being operating in our world!

  • We need to recognize that to be a co-creator with the Beloved is something that can be quite mysterious. Our intentions need to be pure.....pure in heart, pure in intention, pure in spirit, and then we begin to understand what co-creating is about. Then, once we reach that state of beingness, we become the channel for greatness and then we are the magnet to blessings and manifestations of true success, which is ALWAYS humanitarian. Gabriel is a living testimony to this. Tree of Life is THIS.

  • beautiful ... i want to hear more on his ideas around 'intention' ... has he published/written anything further .... so many 'gurus' out there pushing "intention" and "power of intention" which has always seemed full of ego to me ... and inviting frustration when divine intention and "your intention" don't align

  • That is a learning that I am so relieved to know now. May I say that trust is an essential part of unfolding too....as Dr Gabriel said... whatever it is you need..."It has already been given to you" Awareness of this will never go amiss, and as of today I realize why setting intentions had more failures than success in my life, added to feelings of unworthiness, and lack. Thank you so much!

  • Great view on the subject ! With my weightloss intention happened this what here is talked about .. it just happens once the seed intention is set ... all else just happens by the gravity of grace ;D

  • i like how gabriel explains things! its like he can read this dudes mind and guide him into understanding. gabriel would go as far as to use what this dude could understand to drive further points. thats knowledge of the self!

  • He talks of himself in 3rd person ... lol

  • Jesus is the bread of life!

  • @stevenbecky03

    how does he taste?

  • How do people living in mainstream life practice this. Trapped in a capitalist system driving us to produce and consume, people are not able to look at this stuff as they are working to make ends meet and care for their kids and have a bit of relaxation however they can get it.

I think most people will not seek information like this as they accept that the chaos and violence in the world is just the way it is. Reaching them is the key.

  • I love Gabrial Cousins. I feel a sense of peace when I hear him speak. To me he is an elder to be listed to.

  • Remember; these guys do not have monopoly on good nutrition or spirituality. I would rather listen to a Native North American Chief or Shaman than this. At least the Natives KNOW what they are talking about; they live or used to live very close to Mother Earth and Nature and eat and live accordingly. Put this man out in the wild and he will perish. Compare indigious men and women born and raised on natural foods for thousands of years and people on long term raw vegan foods. Guess who'll endure.

  • @TheSeaboat

why go out to nature when you have a whole foods down the street? plus in this society how can you live in the natural state of our ancestors. by doing the best with what you have is endureing. reality check anyone!?

  • I'm pleased to be finding this clip at this time. It's truly serendipitous ... Guess my Fiance said similar imagery to me today basically letting old intentions go like clutter ... *smiles*

  • Every time I hear these great, wise men speak about stuff like this, I just get so turned off. They really show their ignorance about spirit and manifesting, it makes me wonder about what they are saying about nutrition as well. I dont like feeling this way. Stick to what you know Gabriel!

  • @scherryvalentine He's a rabbi & doctor of divinity, don't mess with him!

  • @scherryvalentine

He dosent seem to think hes wise or great. i must have missed that. he might sound condecending just because hes really trying to understand where this kid is comming from. we are all at a different place on our path. with differing levels of experience and knowledge.

  • Agreed.

  • This is a geat explanation by Cousens for 'achieving' on the spiritual level. Which isn't even about 'achieving' in the egoic sense. And it is so hard to get some people to see this -- people who are so anxious to give unsolicited advise about what to 'do' and when. They ask for your 'plan' but on this level there is no 'plan'. They just don't get it.

  • You're a true renegade Kevin, a true renegade.

  • Whats really great about this is that at first it might seem counter-intuitive, but I really do think he is right about being locked too long in old intentions.

Just follow that bliss and serve others, and everything you ever want will be yours.

  • Thank you Gabriel. Thank you Kevin. A profound wealth of wisdom to listen to over and over again. This is it in a nutshell.

  • the Truth is in living it. There is no "secret"

there is no hype. How refreshing this talk is , how truthfilled are the words that come from this mans HEART. thankyou for this blessing.

  • Maybe I'm not crazy after all...

  • The concepts that come to us come through us, from God to be made maifest in the world. We are the vessel, the vehicle, the witness. Thank you Dr. Gabriel.

  • inspiration is higher than intention....it comes down into consciousness as the action to take and the spiritual growth occurs as the ego is deflected from making a big hoo-ha about the outcome :D sometimes there is no specific product EXCEPT the growth that comes from that ego deflection....xxxx

  • On the other hand I understand what he is saying about going w/the flow of God's will. Find the will of God and learn to flow w/it and get out of the way - that's what I need to learn. New Age is too full of people deciding to manifest stuff but they don't know the big picture - only God knows.

  • Yeah but just going w/the flow and letting life happen is why people end up on the sofa eating potato chips and weighing 300 pounds.

  • @PenelopeRose238 lmao...

  • Listening to Gabriel Cousens was like listening (& watching) Annmarie demonstrating a wholesome recipe, we follow her imagining the results. I am Catholic and am grateful to the strengths I have gotten from religion. Most everything Cousens said, was like a part of the whole that I recognize as truth. He offers us his recipe for truth that does not take away from my traditional recipes. I would thing this would be true even for atheists, if they honor truth.

  • The spiritual he's speaking of is actually experiencing the right hempishere of our brain. See Jill Bolte Taylor the brain scientist.

  • Intelligent man...and wise.

I f more people could only lose the "self" within their belief systems.

And even one more, if more people actually thought as he does, more of the universal mind, understanding, and respect for everything, literally, everything within this life and world.. it would be a different place.

Why people cling to their archaic belief systems, conform, usually..

These people who are so revered as Jesus, were nothing but very wise men preaching Love and understanding.

  • I like the pregnancy analogy, good stuff

  • Loved it. That gives me some serious food for thought.

  • Thank You. Keep up the goodness!

  • Those words are in the Lord's Prayer. Give us this day our daily bread. Remember? God has already given us our daily bread because he has already provided it for us. Cool

  • Hi Kevin, I really enjoy Gabriel's interviews. You do have a wonderful vocation, thank you for sharing. I like the idea that I am just remembering what has already happened. Letting go of egoic desire can be a paradox as the desire to let go can originally be egoic, that which desires control extinguishes itself eventually. The question remains "Which comes first, Grace or the allowance of Grace into this I am.?"

  • "Please give me the bread that has already been given to me"

These words hit me in the solar plexus.

    I literally felt a thud.

    Thank you for this posting.

  • Just wanted to make it clear that I am responding to "vmugin" and anyone else that had a problem with Gabriel. I personally enjoyed his thoughts & ideas.

    ;-)

  • The unconscious mind is wiser than the conscious mind, since the unconscious mind lacks a filter and thus sees, hears, smells, tastes, and feels everything the body ever encounters. And the unconscious mind is where "inspiration" and going with the flow comes from. Of course, as Cousins mentions, both intentional planning and open-ended unintentional ways are useful, and an awareness of when to use each strategy is what makes life most joyful and productive.

  • The way to God is through Jesus Christ. If you're willing to check out what this guy has to say, why not also check out who Jesus was?

  • I happen to believe in God (The More, Higher Power, Positive Energy Force) & Jesus. I find it sad when fundamentalist/literalist Christains' give Christainity a bad name when they force it onto others and say it's their way or the highway! Basically most religious teachings say the same thing, "Love one another".

Maybe you'd like to check out some educational materials on progessive Christianity. Check out a few youtube videos (Living the Questions).

Good luck on your spiritual journey!

  • I think it's really sad that you automatically label me with other Christians who "force" things on people. You have every right to believe whatever you want. It is not true that "basically all religious teachings say the same thing". True and honest research will lead you to that conclusion (and I'm not talking about getting your info from YouTube!).

  • The message "Love one another" is taken directly from the Bible. Just to note, I don't have a problem with Gabriel. But just like he has every right to voice his feelings about life and truth, I have the same rights. I was simply pointing out that if more people would research Jesus and His teachings, they would find so many awesome truths. (Jesus Himself claimed to be the only way to God.)

  • Wow this was great ! makes so much sense.. in grace.. living the dharma.. I have often thought that manisfesting is ego based... its about surrender and grace...

Peace ! and Thanks you guys are very much a gift to all.. enjoy your trip !

    Blessings ! Tara

  • That was great! Thanks a lot for sharing this.

  • very taoist. reminds me of krishnamurti, byron katie, etc. who i realize did/do not identify themselves as taoists but the ideas are all coming from the same enlightened place and a peace with reality.

  • I've studied and practiced spirituality a lot from the best of modern teachers and it is very clear to me that Gabriel knows all there is to know about it. He is a great Source of knowledge and most likely an enlightened person. This combined with his knowledge of nutrition is a very powerful force to have in our world today.

  • He understands a lot, thank you! Intentions can be great, we can't get life wrong. I find the main thing these days, what feels internally powerful is gleaning more re the 'mechanics' of intentionally materializing in the phenomenal world. Easier than me doing the breathing is to be breathed by the Divine. More than we could imagine is already ours before we ask. Every mental blueprint belongs to all of us, the universe is our body mirrored outwardly from the zero point of heart. Time for fun!

  • When Gabriel said "give me the bread that has already been given to me" it was very moving. It sounds like we already have everything but we may not recognize it. Thank you for posting this.

  • Thank YOU, Kevin :)

  • I just read a quote that made me think of this: "Many of us spend half of our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing" -Alexander Woollcott

  • God knows our true intentions! "for the word of God is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Heb 4:12).

  • Nice verse! I do love grace.

  • Thanks for the video Kevin!

...I think he means we set a life goal but not knowing how to get there somehow we do.

This is done by knowing what the goal is and through taking our best path we have at that time.

We all will get there in the end as long as we do not give up and focus on our goals.

  • i learnt alot from Ken Wilber about why some people have certain intentions and how to notice them in yourself....he said they re like objects and we need to aim to be absolutely subjective. This integrated approach of health and spirituality is definetly the way forward in Wilbers ethos, as all these lines develop, food, exercise, cognitive, social etc we mature into higher states of consciousness where intention is slowly released. only a beginner myself tho. look forward to the music one!

  • i'm confused, is he talking about himself in the 3rd person? ¯\(°_o)/¯

  • He always talks about himself in the 3rd person. I can't remember why but he always does that.

  • Hi there, furseiseki (o: If understand him correctly he was speaking from the perspective of someone who who sees or understands himself to be an individualized aspect of an infinite being or beingness. & that there is no need to struggle or worry about the 'heavy lifting' part of getting anything done (unless that is an experience we desire). Just one of many ways to experience the world. We each can choose how we walk this life, what feels best or the most liberating to us.
