yes, this Begena is descendant right from King David. As you know Ethiopians had a relationship with God from the beginning like the Israels. Ethiopia and Israel were the only people that had a relationship with God before the Messiah , Christ came, so we have some of the instruments and other things that are similar. Now today Ethiopia has a relationship with God excepting the Messiah that came to save our world.
