9:13 is this entire era in a nutshell. The fans think the Rock won the WWF Title, they go APESHIT, instead it's a false finish, and a minute later it's Pedigree, HHH remains WWF champion and the crowd is utterly dead. This same thing happened for basically the entire next decade until all the fans stopped watching the WWE. Fuck you Paul Levesque and fuck you Vince for doing this to your fans.

@EGarrett01 Hopefully I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're blaming the decline of the WWE on big shocks and surprises like this. This is what kept WWE going, this was GOLDEN. Unpredictability. The faces can't ALWAYS win. It's times like this, when the heels win, that make when the faces win that much better. The fans stopped watching the WWE because matches like this and entertainers like this just don't exist anymore.

I'm blaming the downfall of the WWE on them not giving the fans what they wanted, EVER. The point of a heel is to eventually lose in order to make the fans happy. Not for the heel to win and win and win and win and win until it's no fun at all and everyone is pissed and stops watching. I don't hate a lot of people who aren't criminals, but I used to really enjoy wrestling and watching HHH destroy the entire industry over the last 10 years made me hate him with a vicious passion.

@EGarrett01 I see your point, and I do agree that they went overboard with the heels winning at times. Personally, I stopped watching mainly when The Rock left (the first time)... not only because my favorite superstar was gone, but that's right around the time when other top entertainers started leaving and/or becoming irrelevant, and when the WWE overall just went downhill. It just isn't the same anymore. John Cena and PG tv? No thanks.

Whats funny is that this match could still be PG, all they had to do was change some of the commentry and get rid of that chairshot and it's PG quality :P

obviously the Promo's etc. are a different matter. but they certainly could still put on the same calibre matches if they had anyone with half the talent the attitude and b4 generations had.
