Sadly though, the Tea Party isn't about standing up for the rights of others - it's inspired by selfishness, not wanting your tax dollars to help your neighbour when they're struggling to survive in the corporate nightmare world of US healthcare. @mikem42 I find it presumptuous of you to state what inspires the Tea Parties-as an active participant, our primary inspiration is simple-what I work hard for belongs to me, and is mine to use and distribute as I see fit, with the exception of public works which benefit ALL. I could say that those who prefer a "welfare state" are greedy, lazy, and selfish-prefering to make their "living" off anothers sweat and blood. Illegals get "free" healthcare - HINT-nothing in life is free. 2.) Lawyers (solicitors) make their living off frivolous lawsuits. 3.) Half the masses get "free" healthcare (see hint above) 4.) Unions have taken over most aspects of healthacare, from Drs. to nurses to hospitals 5.) Politicians are firmly in the pockets of big pharma. -All in the name of "the poor."

If you consider the rich the "deep end" of a pool, and the poor the "shallow end," no matter how much water you carry from the deep end and pour into the shallow end, the depths will never change. We all need to get involved NOW! 1) We can support candidates we believe in before the primaries so they can be our candidates instead of the insiders the parties hand pick. Contribute money and/or time to get them elected and 2) join a group (TEA Party, 9-12, FreedomWorks, ResistNet, Americans for Prosperity, etc all have web sites). Join with like minded people so we can change DC this November.

If you can't find a group, form one of your own. There are lots of web sites to help.
