It was originally going to appear in a Mothra movie, but that project got cancelled, just like the idea for a Godzilla vs Bagan movie. Super Godzilla came much later then those two cancelled films, and is really Bagan's only appearance.

@stupidityunitenstuff Bagan is an interesting monster. Originally he was supposed to face off against Mothra, but he ended up getting replaced by Desghidorah and that film became "Rebirth of Mothra". Then he was supposed to go up against Godzilla, but then he got replaced by Destroyah.  To my knowledge, Bagan's only appearance has been the game Super Godzilla.

Oh I'm not sure if you know this or not but Super Godzilla in the Japanese version of the game has a crest like Space Godzilla. I just thought I'd point that out in case you didn't know already.

You obviously have a good eye for detail. I did know about the crest in the Japanese version. I didn't put the crest on him because, as you noticed too, it makes him look more like Space Godzilla. Space Godzilla's design was based off the Super Godzilla concept art so that's why they have alot of similarities in design. Also, I grew up with the American version so that is how I always remembered him.
