@nfeemster you looked soo sweettt! :) the funny thing is i was holding my cpk while i was watching this heartwarming video and i squeesed her sooooooooo thight!
cabbage patch kids!! i still have like 4!! i had a lot when i was a little girl and had also accesories like the car seat, cart, cradle and all that stuff... i love them!!... the best of the 80's!! can't remember my childhood without thinking of my cabbages!!
It was cool to find this! This was my sister and I's first commercial too. We are right after you in the bunk beds. We are twins. I still have the doll and the sweater that I wore in that commercial!!
Adorable! I hope you got one of those dolls as a paycheck!! My parents got me one for Easter of 84' through what the family now calls "The almost drug deal". They met a guy in a in a parking lot Easter morning, and just like a drug deal he asked,"You got the money?" to which they replied, "Yeah, you got the doll?" An hour later, Layla Joice was comfortably rocking in my arms. She was so loved by me as a child that she made a special guest appearance at my daughter's baby shower 23 years later.
Aw, you were so cute! I was lucky enough to get one of those dolls in December '83 - I'm surprised my dad came home from the mall that night in one piece. Good memories, thanks for posting :o)
