  • and then what is Classics? I mean, the girl I'm following "qualified to HOPES" and whatever other score she needed. She competes in HOPES division (she's only 10), but I don't know what that means, exactly. Is it higher than level 10? Or is it a separate way of counting? Last I knew, she was level 8, and then boom! She's HOPES. She's been in TOPS every year since she was 7.. (diamond, diamond, then "A" team twice)

  • It's different than the regular level system. They can do both at the same time. If you go to USAG's website, they can explain it better than I can. Classics are the American Classic and the US Classic. I believe the Hopes kids compete in the US Challenge and American Challenge.

  • what girl are you following?

  • is elite qualifier where you qualify to be an elite gymnast. is it like a test or something?

  • Yes. They have to get a certain score to qualify to be an elite. If they get the qualifying score, they can go to Classics (American or US).
