hell bob hayes 46 yrs ago on a wet dirt(YES DIRT) track in tokyo ran a 10.05 100m to win the gold medal. fastest players like ron brown and darrall green ran bests of 10.08 and had the advantage of running on modern synthetic tracks. hayes ran faster on soft loose dirt than anyone ever in the NFL. i know jacoby ford has run in the 9.96 area but has ran a 9.91 in a prelim on that same dirt track with wind just above legal, all these 4.2's etc are so b.s as to true speed

etc never ran better than a 10.2. most sprinters(the REAL fast guys)don't get up to top speed until about 55-60m. alot of todays players,chris johnson,desaen jackson etc would get beat SO bad by an usain bolt in the 100m and i mean TOTALLY embarresed. they might be close or right with him for those first 40 but once they hit the 50m mark and reach the tape they'll easily be 7+ meters behind

HAHA man your funny. The fastest timed 40 was 4.25 since the electronic system has been out. Hand clocked 40's are NOT accurate. So his 4.16 at Notre Dame was hand clocked. They say that hand clocked times can vary almost .2 seconds. I'm not saying he can't run a sub 4.3 40, I was just saying that NO ONE has ever ran a 4.05 electronically timed 40 yard dash.

I'm a ND fan and Rocket was the best KR I've ever seen except Daunte Hall in 05' with KC. Rocket had 2 KR TD's in two seperate games (Rice/Mich). He had 1 against Colorado in the 91' Orangebowl to win the game, but then they called a suspect clipping penalty and Colorado won the National Championship. Bush got paid $300K in college by a sportsmarketing company and should have lost the Heisman to Young as a result. Bush is a better all around player but Rocket was the best returner ever!
