Xerxes was known as the great. The Persians however once conquering cultures, rarely treated them cruelly, they were allowed to keep their government and their religions.

Demophilus of Thespiae leader of the 1000 odd Thespians also stood his ground in the final Persian assault; He and his men in some texts are praised for their bravery and prowess just as much as the Spartans - they are also credited for actually pushing a Persian cohort off the cliffs into the sea.

But it was only when Alexander The Great launched the massive skirmish against the Persians that the city-states united under a single bannor, "Greece" as one country with all its people united inside the same borders. I have a problem, my specs are: Geforce 250 gts, 6g ram, intel core2 duo cpu, E8400 @3.00GHz, which is more than enough to play even most modern games, however, whenever i play barbarian invasion, it lags in battle (even small ones) to around 10-15 fps. anyone know why this is?
