This ride freaked me out because, at the age of 12, I was POSITIVE I was going to go flying off the tracks along with the rest of the train. Never happened, but the jarring ride was still a put-off. IIRC, Colossus was older than this thing, and it was ridiculous that such a poor experience could come out of such a similar ride.

Also, if you get the chance (if they GIVE YOU the chance), do the backwards/dual trains on Colossus. BEST TIME I've had on a wooden coaster ever.

My girlfriend used to hate the big drop rollercoasters like Colossus and Goliath but for whatever reason she loved this ride and would force me to ride it with her.  Hurt like hell but all that bumping and grinding was nice lol. People used to hate this ride so there was never really a line which was always kinda nice. I must admit I do kinda miss it now that it's gone.

They built the Thomas Town section where the old Granny Gran Prix ride used to be(sort of by Log Jammer). Last time I wet, about 2 weeks ago, the area where Psyclone used to be was still empty. Im guessing it's where they're going to build their upcoming woodie in 2009.(I hope its by the Gravity Group!:)

I read somewhere that it used to be a good ride before the '94 Northridge quake. Is this true? I didn't start attending the park till '95 so didn't get a chance to ride it pre-quake. Like Flashback, I will miss it - always made a point to ride it every visit - but it was pretty rough. Then again, isn't the original Cyclone pretty rough too? Was Psyclone a timber-for-timber recreation of Cyclone or just an approximation?

From what I remember, it was always a crazy ride before and after the quake... it just got a little worse! This is supposed to be an exact replica of the original ride. I don't know if it was but I do know that it was supposed to be just as harsh. It was a helluva ride though!
