Hey how did you get a hold of the 1-8 Short Dot? I understand that this video was made back in July but what I don't understand is that they aren't even in this country yet. SWFA lists the PM2's on their website but they say it's just pre-order. Where can I pick one up? And finally, just saying, I would much rather have the short dot due the fact that the glass they use is just hands down the best in the industry. And finally how do think this will perform with an IR laser?
Great review. I Just picked up a LWRC SPR and needed an optic in this class. A week ago I bought a ACOG TA11 SDO with RMO7 RMR on it and am happy except I wish I had a little more power than the 3.5 in the ACOG. I may look at one of these scopes. Thanks for the work you do.
So basicly the LEUPOLD MK8 ilumination during the day is useless ?
But the S+B `s reticle is a bit fine to see quickly at times ?
You would think for the HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY these scopes cost they would be THE ULTIMATE in close quarters and medium distance shooting , but they still have short comings .
I looked through these scopes at the SHOT SHOW in VEGAS , but untill you actually use one you just dont know !!!!!!!!!!!!
@Figure14HH Yeah, I'd rather just have an ACOG with a fiber optic illumination, I'm almost as fast up close as with a red dot, and at distance they work pretty well, and the ranging and bullet drop reticle is far simpler, however it is more of a fighting rifle optic and not a DMR optic, and isn't that precise. No problems hitting silhouette's at 800m with mine, and it's bomb proof, I've literally dropped other guns on the optic while it was mounted, and it didn't lose zero.
What is that "red-dot" thing mounted on the side of the Leupold? And what mounts did you use for it? Thanks

the mk8 may be nice but no way in hell is it worth $4000. I hope they sell a total of ZERO at that price

@Figure14HH Not to mention these things weigh a lot more than an ACOG and cost 3 times more, at least.
