Cacophony me trae mucha nostalgia. ya hace un año que no escuchaba este tema... ya habia olvidado el vinculo casi sexual que tiene Becker y Friedman con la guitarra.
@heavymedlarruti666 On this Marty and Jason both used Carvins. Marty didn't switch to Jackson until he went to Megadeth. But yeah, they do kick ass :) I have a rhoads lol
if this two albums were without vocals ( just as Becker's ''Perpetual burn'') - they would have been one of the best in the metal history. The vocal parts obviously are not in the class of the rest of the music - harmonically and technically. It gets so good when the singing stops!!
Extra Sensorial Perception. Russians and guys at the Institute for Advanced Studies, in Princeton, used to research this sort of stuff, but they were never able to make it a science. There's still much unknown about the mind and existence.
@gb5k Deen plays incredible on everything, but this cd was one of my favorites. On this song the drums playing in unison w/ the guitar lick at 2:26 just rips.
These Riffs have mucho balls! that is the secret!...you have to play your balls off!...if u didnt play your balls off then it wouldnt make any sense yet!
not sure about Becker but Marty invents his own scale by ear so if it happens to be a pre existing scale it would just be by coincidence he just invented his own style he's got some instructional vids on youtube somewhere
it has some chromatic runs at the begining and then i guess he does the harmonic minor scale just a lil and some pentatonic too. theres is a parte where the solo sounds very dark, maybe locrian mode? or dominant dimimished scale wich is used a lot with the phrydgian mode and the harmonic minor.
It will never be gone, you know why? because we are all making it exist and not letting it die by listening to it. This music is great music and lives on through us and well because it is great music which makes it last, unlike to days music which is here today and gone tomorrow.
@will3d2008 No kidding, even if you don't like technical music like this you can at least appreciate the work it took to make it unlike 90% of shit being put out today.
