Haha I saw this w/my neices around the time it came out, and my younger neice was eight years old and she was deeply disturbed by it and couldn't sleep. I mean, it's a wonderful movie but damn it's scary! xD Which is actually a good thing-for the appropriate crowd. You're right no one under ten should see this. That is unless they want horrible, disturbing nightmares for nights on end. O.o

Nice review. Felt exactly the same way about the movie. I'm also quite obsessed with it right now actually. Too bad I only got to watch it 2 days ago despite being released back at 2009!

I think it's a great movie for anyone, and the people who say little kids shouldn't see it really aren't very open minded and scare easily. It is not even close being dark, scary, or disturbing. I didn't read the book but I thought it was a wonderful movie.
