@heybang6354 Listen at around 2:26 when the camera cuts to the girls from Urban Method / Afro Blue / Pentatonix. You'll hear them start with "few times been around that track." Hard to hear though :)
Oh my...oh lord...I'm panting right now. Now, take it from me, it takes a lot to turn me into a knee knocking fan girl. But when that damn SCOTT came out and looked STRAIGHT at the camera while singing, "Don't cry," I felt shivers going up and down my spine, and I haven't felt so happy in a long time. I will never cry again.
As a whole, I hated this. But I was fucking shocked at how well those two guys sang Baba O'Riley. I personally think it is one of those songs that shouldn't be covered because it is just so good, but they did impress me. But they weren't nearly on the same level as Daltrey and Townshend.
@TravelByTARDIS11, I think the mash-up is about partying. There's all of those characters (from the songs) at parties, and sometimes a party can have all of those elements, especially if alcohol is involved (I smell like a mini-bar...). Just my two cents.
meh I didnt feel this one as much and the blonde from Urban Method needs to never sing solo again. But tbh I liked it better when they just picked one or two songs to do instead of random mashups.
@TravelByTARDIS11 I had the same question. Maybe they felt that each song suited one of the four groups? If I had to guess... Baba O'Riley: Darthmouth Aires, Bittersweet Symphony: Afro-Blue, Hollaback Girl: Urban Method, Last Friday Night: Pentatonix (???)
Or maybe they just picked four songs from the producers' iPods?
@TravelByTARDIS11 I actually think the mismatch was the point. The challenge that week was to mashup two completely different songs, so here's four songs you wouldn't think could go together that somehow do.
Not the same with out vocal point:(

@ryeelatkje and 0:22 to 0:46. That one's pretty obvious.

Question: what do all these songs have in common? I'm just wondering why they chose these particular songs to mash up together.
