I don't think "missing time" phenom is like classic Travis Walton UFO abduction...and missing time is not "highway hypnosis" Missing time is more like when you run on very regular schedule day after day and you are positive you are on the exact schedule, but you notice suddenly when you check time you are missing about 40 minutes or so, not half a day,and that missing time CANNOT be explained...no recollections of weird sounds.
I understand the phenomenon, and I wasn't trying to make a researched work of art. The video is more so about abduction but if I were to call it thusly my grade would be affected due to cliche.
Editing took about two weeks. Most of the footage was shot as I needed it. I was trying to set the camera up to shoot myself it it was way too hard, then over Thanksgiving my friend was home so I asked if he'd help out. We had to rush through shots though so unfortunately most of them didn't turn out. Oh well.
Well, hold on to the concept! You may expand it all into a great movie someday...maybe something along lines of "White Noise"...maybe something that rightly blurs the boundaries between alien abduction, missing time, ghosts, paranormal, time travel, angels etc...the sign is up at Hollywood: "Good scripts/ideas needed!"
This video is good for a beginner but I must be honest when I say it was literally too dark. I could barely see anything. I realize that most of it was suppose to be a night image but even so, I just could not see what I was looking at. I really liked the score though, it went well with the clip. It was a decent, though unoriginal, concept and it was pretty good for an amateur. No disrespect intended. I am simply giving one persons humble opinion.
I understand what you're saying but honestly it looks vastly different on the computer than it does on the classroom projector. Some of the effects I threw on the driving clips aren't visible on here either, unfortunately. I appreciate your comment though because although this is the copy I turned in for a grade, I'm going to continue working on it for my portfolio review in the spring.
good editing...but pure bullshit.
