Not only would it be crueler to punch and kick you to death but it's also less efficient and economical. They're not asking for the chickens to be pampered before they die, just not to torture them. Plus damaged chickens = damaged meat.

Do you know how easy it is to kill 1,000 within a minute? Turn off the fans in the coop and they suffocate in seconds. That is a danger the chicken farms face here in FL every Hurricane season when there's a power outage. CAK is basically like that kind of suffocation, it is a quick, humane, and EFFICIENT method of slaughter.
