This is a beautiful version of that song. You can hear how the singer really feels what she sings. And the pictures in the video are awesome! In my opinion they are made and cut together in a very subtly and sensitive way. Great work!
The rain is clearly a metaphor for dark times, depression...I think it's definitely about unrequited love: 'talk to me/ LIKE lovers do.' They are not lovers, but she wants desperately for them to be.
It's beautiful how each beat and sound in the background is like raindrops. Each tap on the keyboard or pluck of a violin has a rhythm matching rainfall and never gets repetitive.
