@zippomc - if it's anything like the old Hornby APT-P, it's the pivoting of the bogies that make the carriages tilt, not anything to do with DCC.

how long is the pendolino with all nine carrages just onderin for wen ig e tmy trian set upo and runnin coz i wanna run a five or six carraged hst set and a pendolino set

Hmm. Hornby's set is usually four cars long, but you can purchase extra cars seperately. Cheers!

According to the operator, a bent piece of wire was placed under the front end of the pendolino, then hooked up to the Bachmann 57's coupler. Cheers HSTHoward.
