  • at 2:20 he says ´I´m not cutting the bar´and seconds later ´a roughly trimmed hoof´ BINGO not cutting the bar (an extension of the hoof wall) is what contritbutes to the flare/white line tear as the bar pushes the walls out when it runs out of places to grow through lack of proper trimming. All this heart bar shoes, putty etc is just disguising the damage, not resolving it. A roughly trimmed hoof is all your going to get if you only ´roughly trim´ it! Disgusting

  • With all the information available why is a vet still recommending shoeing to cure laminitis? Barefoot is the best route to resolve this problem. That sad contracted frog and underslung heel will not get healthy and work as part of the hoof mechanism all the time it is raised off the floor and constricted by a shoe.
