then would that be or not be a change. you go from leading in the world to dropping the number 1 coach in the world in your event and then looking lazy and ruff at the end of races. It was a huge mistake on Wariner's end to drop clyde

my track coach used to have clyde hart as his coach when he was running the 400m at baylor, and he said that jeremy's coaching change did not in any way affect his racing, even if he did in fact lose badly in the 2008 400m final in Beijing

Before 1990 BU sprinters were on a traditional system. Hence Michael came in at 21.3 and worked on speed - but he kept getting injured and thus the tempo was ushered in. If Jeremy were on traditional speed for 3years in college and then switched I believe you'd see him in the high 19s, but not at 43.4. As a mentor of two BU National Champions (Couts and Hauser) I believe that JWs training path v. Johnson switching to it is why JW is able to speed endurance v. size alone
