  • Sad that he sold out.

  • tried to make a best of jay-z cd and it was way too many tracks

  • this was the album of the year when this came out

  • this is when Jay was my man! I love this song!

  • Does anyone here think that Kanye West can very possibly have the best discography when its all set and done?

  • Ya I think the blue print is one of his best albums right next to reasonable doubt

  • GREATEST RAPPER EVER

    JAY-Z

  • this proves why jay z is one of the best of all time

  • Kingdom Come was a great album in my opinion, Oh My God & Minority Report are my favorite songs off that album

  • yes you're right solidsnake kayne did a great job of producing this record.

  • One thing that I love & respect from Jay-Z AND NOBODY can take away from him, is that he DID say that he was gonna' take over the rap game & make millions off of it. Well, every time he comes out with something new, he takes over, and he has made millions. In fact, Jay is one of the richest rappers out there with a net worth of almost a half a Billion dollars!! You gotta admire that success, if anything, learn from it so you too can become successful.

  • Talking about this album specifically, this is Jay-Z's best album, hands down! This is the album it seems he's been trying to remake all these years. I'll say that he's come close, but... I'll compare this album to a crack high, where that first high gets you open! That high feels so good, but every high after that might come close, but don't compare, this album was the same way. The first one was very good, but the follow-ups weren't as good (but they were good). Oh well, I guess...

  • @jarbon5 love the comment; however, I don't think he's trying to remake anything. He's released what, 11 albums, every album has its own aura. He was in a different mindset when making them. So I wouldn't say that's remaking Blueprint despite the trilogies of the same name.

  • @KaishaLaSha83 Well, only he knows for sure. But, I can't help but get that feeling when I listen to the albums that he's dropped following it, as if he was chasing his The Blueprint album. I can't help but get that feeling...

  • @jarbon5, true. Only he does. I get a feeling when I listen to Kingdom Come. That shit is GAHBAGE!!

  • @KaishaLaSha83 Well, one of the songs I truly loved off that album was "Lost One". That song is beautiful! Can't really say that about to many rap songs, but I can about that one. The subject matter he raps about in that song is very touching to me, and the beat is lovely. As you can tell, I really love that song! And, regarding the album, it wasn't his best album, but I thought it was a good one. But, like they say, to each their own...

  • what you ate dont make me shit

  • Not only is Jay the best, he is the best BY FAR. No one is fucking with him.

  • @lightitupfool Then Red comes out of nowhere and holds up his Illmatic album and then you begin the great Nas vs Hov argument.

  • so many blueprints but dude aint built shit in my book.

Nah this C.D got me through a 6 mounth tour in 2001 and 911. I can't hate on this man.

  • This album is a lesson.

    A masterpiece.

You can't live without knowing this.

  • this dude jumped over 400 views in 3 days. if youre looking for an artist that is lyrically talented check him out and give the recognition real hip-hop deserves. just type in Available in HD Week 10- My Zone

  • blueprint is the ONLY cd i have ever owned in my 21 years where i have never found myself going "nah this song sucks skip to the next one"

every single song on blueprint 1 is pure gold. every one.

  • @tucker31890 Verdad es.

  • CLASSIC ALBUM!

  • i think the blueprint was his best cd he shoulda retired after the black album

  • im 25 years old, this was the 1st CD i came across that I could just put it in and let it play. Damn good CD, no wonder he made another CD with the same name.

  • always end up turning to a jayz track when other artists fail

  • DAYUM WHAT YOU EAT DONT MAKE ME SHIT!

  • Someone please let me know what song or songs are sampled in this Jay-Z track - please!?!?!?! DAVEDJ Especially that vocal - Bobby Bland? Don't forget the instrumentation sample(s) - must know - help - S.O.S. DAVEDJ

  • Lil Wayne? AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH omfg...Fucking kids.. Educate yourselfs

  • yo u dont need a vid 2 bob ya head 2 dis!!

  • Kids....LiL Wayne is shit compared to the ledgends....the sooner you learn this the sooner you'll know what good rap is.

  • lil wayne and drake are better than this garbage

  • @krazzyyo2 LOL

  • @krazzyyo2 they are such fags, grow up. Drake puts out the bitch ass music. fucking sad. cant even listen to the radio anymore.

  • @krazzyyo2 this garbage?i agree that wayne is the best...but this garbage?JAY-Z A LEGEND!

  • and I pack heat like I'm the oven door!

  • who sings the chorus?

  • this song is so hard ... this is MY jigga ... get it daddy!

  • Jay Zees only album....

  • wasn't this album written in two days or something? im pretty sure i can back this up

  • as of today lil wayne is the best rapper alive point blank....in 05 and back jay-z was the best...but as of today if you ask anyone to pick lil wayne or jay-z...lil wayne will be the favorite because he the best right now

  • @TheColby3 naw around 05 is when wayne started takin over completely...he had those VERY succesful albums....thats why him and jay-z start battling!

  • type in ovidmedia and click on the cleone my life video... cleone is a great rapper to... i love it when rappers keep it real

  • Speechless!! Piece of cake, had found the entire album for free download at DownloadMusic[DOTT]im, take away the slashes and you are to good to go..

  • jay z! deserves more respect! his probably the second best rapper today,

  • whos the best?

  • "the cost is nothing. pay me no mind". jay at his best.

  • CAN i LIVE? i told you in 96 i came to take this shit an i did,

    handle ma bizz,

i scramble like Randle wit hiz,

    Cunningham,

but the only thing runnin is numbers fam,

Jigga held yu dwn 6 summers damn..

    -Classic

  • that isnt him singing you fuckin fag

  • Blueprint 3....

  • you dumb fuck

  • Jay-z would admit himself he has a horrible singing voice. But there is something about this track where his voice is so nostalgic and cautionary it brings you back to a different time. My man Hova

  • so you're saying that it's Jay who's singing the chorus?? cuz i coulda sworn it was Bobby Bland =/

  • Now I am just saying in general rapper's obviously don't have good voices because rapping is about the metaphors and the symbolism. But in this case, his voice vibes really well with the beat.

  • if you ask me the hooks make the song even better.

  • I agree with you whole heartedly Brooks

  • Comment removed

  • this song is g

  • Man this shit so deep

  • One of kanye's best beats.

  • Males shouldnt be jealous, thats a female trait... classic jigga punch line

  • Kanye fisrt Jay Z track

  • my two favorite lines in this

"it cost you nothin, pay me no mind"

"and I pack heat like I'm the oven door"

i understand that people may not like the mainstream shit that Jay does but can't no body take away from the fact that when he wants to be he can destroy beats

  • song is reminesent of Jay's classics on reasonable doubt

  • What you eat dont make me shit!!! Yes.

  • keep postin these vids wit jay nd ill stay subd bro

  • ok folks!

  • trdfgtrdhg

  • jay' s just great

  • this album just screams BLOW

  • Y'all know this beat was originally made for DMX.

  • How you know that?

  • Thank God he didn't get the chance to ruin it.

  • At the end of Kanye West's song Last Call, he says that he produced this song originally for DMX.

  • That was to answer ScarvesForUnited's question.

  • Kingdome Come and American Gangster got nothing on Blueprint.

Newcomers really have no idea what Jay been putting out over the years and why we call him the greatest of all time.

Its cause of songs like this.

Its cause of his older work.

  • Markbeats U damn sure is RIGHT!!!! Newcomers and Non Listeners dont know why we call dude the greatest.

  • wtf?? American Gangster was on a different level!! i disagree

  • i also got to disagree, i own Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, Blueprint 2, Black Album, Kingdom Come and American Gangster 3 early albums and his 3 latests, u can just see his growth and maturity as a person and rapper in his cds, he never really looses it in my opinion, all these cds are heavy

  • Yeah they all masterpieces though but i think Reasonable and his early 2000s work is the best.

At least those are the ones i like to listen the most.

  • preach dat shit they dont know what they talkin bout where im from we callem band waggon jumpers they be jumpin on an jumpin off

  • @Markbeats Hell yes, the Blueprint is my all time favorite album and this is my favorite song from it. Honestly, I was lukewarm on Jay-Z prior to this album but after listening to this, over and over, I went back and listened to everything he'd put out and realized how f'ing good he is

  • @Markbeats So true. This album is legend.

  • @Markbeats black album

  • I kno hip-hop very well n dis is its purest form ,,The blueprint is one of the top 5 albums of all tyme str8 up

  • young hova

  • no this song is first from the blueprint they put it on the american gangster as a bonus cause this was kanye's first famous beat

  • it is on the blueprint dumb ass

  • so it is

  • u must not be a fan. to make a dumb ass statement like that!

  • Your right i was wrong about American Gangster,

Jay was prob even more lyrical on American Gangster than on The Blueprint

but i just like the music/songs much better on the Blueprint

Blueprint has some of the greatest production of all time.

i just personally enjoy jays older albums more.

  • yeah i feel u on the production!! what do u think the greatest production. u might disagree but i can not STOP LISTENING TO "I KNOW"!!!!

  • @ Jack;

    You sound stupid :/

@Razor; The beat is a SAMPLE. It pretty much is his beat. Have you heard the original? sounds completely different. Only the tune is copied. The tempo, pitch, bass, drums, etc. are all different.

BTW; This is one of my favoraite Jay-Z songs =]

I also happen to know that this beat was made by Kanye West, originally for DMX. Would really liked to have heard that :P

  • Dude, at that time, I would of loved to hear DMX rip this track.

  • Who ever runs their mouth bout jay dont know shit. I can relate to his earlier shit more cuz i'm a hustler. This whole blueprint is sick every track is hot. I can relate to it.

  • TDB101 when did you last listen to rock, what you said about rock is like saying that all rap is talking about who i killed, drugs i dealed bitches i fucked n my cash flow even though it isnt true, may be you should try listening around to the diffrent bands n people before making steroetypical asumptions

  • don't want much, fuck I drove every car

Some nice cooked food, some nice clean drawers

    CRAZY LINE

  • GET YOUR OWN FUCKING TUNES WANKER

  • Hmm i know the origional was by bobby blue bland! And it wasnt RNB. As that did not exist in the 1950's. He was not RNB. He was a blues musician, hence the name. And he actually sang. Unlike rnb and rap shit thats just talking

  • so stop sucking dick

  • @nymaniac why this homophobe hostility - this is music. Please let's stop hatin'

  • hands down this is the album that made a true Jay fan.. this shit is soooo classic...

  • I need hugs but im fast like bugs bunny you

  • razorbladerocker rap is the best music there is now dont get me wrong rock is good but most of that shit is ppl screaming and shaking there head all crazy how can ppl listen to ppl scream all day thats fuckin annoying and shitty

  • Fuck you razorbladerocker. It was an R&B song before white snake covered it. They fuckin 'stole' the song too. As it stands, new rap is better than new rock being made- all of the new rock is generic imitation. You can still find some fresh rap tho.

  • Lil Wayne doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breadth as Hova

  • This lil kids be saying lil wayne is the best alive but grown motherfuckes really know wassup man

    Jay Z all day

  • That exact damn thing's happenin' on my "NAS-Represent video, except NAS instead of Jay-Z.

  • American gangster

  • I love Reasonable Doubt but Blueprint is his best cd in my opinion

  • same hea man blueprint is the best

  • whatever y'all have said.don't make my respect to hove change...human race is even hating on GOD.so what mo° can i say..big up to my nigga jay...many of us wonna have his notority...then fuck y'all criticks.

  • A great rap song with a monsterly eerie beat. Go Jay-Z

  • Fuck you, you don't have to troll people who listen to a certain genre of music. Besides, Lil Wayne is a piece of shit, he's terrible. You are a fuckhole if you think everyone has to listen to rock, and to think every rapper is gay is completely dumbfounded. When Micheal Jackson held you over that balcony, I'd bet that he had dropped you when no one was looking.

  • lol he's just a dude trying to piss everyone off, everything he said "Closet homosexual, no dad" is probebly what he has and he's trying to make himself feel better.

  • Forreal 'dough!

  • What tha hell are you talking about?! Cats who rhyme could be gay? That's the most STUPIDEST sh*t I've ever heard! Straight-up crackhead! You stick to your hillbilly music n' that punk Lil' "Whine". Jay can outshine ANYBODY you listen to anyway!

  • That motherfucker probably didn't hear Reasonable Doubt, which was a timeless classic. I just hate it when people go to a video they don't like and shove their beliefs down peoples throats. It should only be done on shit like soulja boy or fiddy cent.

  • crawl under a rock an die slow please fag boy u just named the gayest rapper alive kissin men lil wayne u probly one of them broke back mountain faggots huh thats why u like dat country shit huh cause they told what really go on huh lol fag

  • @Randy5thGenTexan F U C K Y O U. This Is what I, and alot of other people call Music. Go suck Lil Waynes pussy since You love Him more the Jay , the Genius..

  • You must of never heard "nigga what, nigga who" or "is that yo bitch"...listen before you speak please. song for song, jay is the best rapper alive hands down period.

  • Why does this refers to me?

  • best album. Brings me back to my childhood. My brother and my cousins listened to it all the time.
