Louis' nonsensical response "Can you say what they allegedly say you did?" is designed to reassure Anthony by using the word "allegedly".

Scholars and scientist have even said so, it is just something that is not discussed often. As far as CHATTEL slavery goes, blacks were enslaved by whites because they were able to the do the most work. Slavery was tried with many races & those people usually died. Case in point why masters would say "niggers can't faint." Read a book.
