  • @lowe2009 mass repair function has always been something very unique for terran. they should get this ability because their buildings/unit's health don't increase on their own. This can also be shown in how medivacs heal faster than zerg regenerate, or how scv repairs mech faster than protoss regen shields. simply because the terran race requires additional work to raise the unit's hp is why the rate is faster.

  • In the process of fixing this bug, Blizzard accidentally nerfed the area of attack by Ultralisks against units. Instead of the AOE being +2 around units (similar to siege tank attacks), the AOE is now just size 2 immediately in front of the Ultralisk. Overall, the Ultralisk now does around 40% less AOE damage depending on the target size which is a huge blow. Zerg players are quite upset by this "buff." See the Blizzard Zerg forum.

  • Check out the HP bar of the CC while the SCVs were repairing it; it's barely moving. How can 4 ultralisks not be able to take down an entire CC? The only way is to destroy the SCVs.

  • i don't think its a bug. the PF is too strong; you need so many ultras(the ultimate weapon of the zerg) to take one PF down. I'm happy to see the ultras do splash damage to the repairing workers.

  • What if it had been the same number of void rays attacking? This is Zerg's most powerful unit isn't it? Or maybe Broodlords are considered that. But still if you invest so much to get Ultras you should get some bang for your buck. The Terran player could have battle-cruisers by this time in the game.

  • The long way of the Ultra. At first it was nothing more than a waste of money, then it became useable and now... well I think its not exactly what Blizzard aimed for with the splash dmg. Combined with the thick armor and quick attack speed this is an insanely strong unit against all kind of groundunits. If you add some fungal to it its already pretty hard to stop.

    Just wait, if Blizz doesnt like it they will for sure change it.

  • You terran haters obviously either aren't good players, or don't know how to use your advantages to their full extent. For example, the siege tanks and marauders can't attack air units. It's not that hard to figure out how to counter those units. (here's a hint, use air units!) Yes, I am a primary terran player, and I have found some big flaws in this race. For example, terran are good with defense, not as good with offense, so don't attack their base head on. Be tactical!

  • Terran players are all crying, first of all, this terran did not have an army to accompany his base. Before this patch, Terran didn't require anything to defend planetary foretress because all they needed to do was mass repair, THAT IS WHAT IS OP. THIS IS WORKING AS INTENDED, the terran player obviously was used to not needing an army to defend his base and got his ass raped by the new ultras. Take it up the ass.

  • It seems that Ultralisk's Attack work like "damage to Target-A and splash damage around Target-A", thus it splash to ALL UNIT around Command center as you can see in this clip.

    I just dunno why Ram was remove in the first place. Instead, they should fix Ram to attack just single building with more damage than normal splash attack and this bug will be long gone before it happen

  • @Donlanai the ram attack wasnt bad at all until the terrans learned that scvs can mass repair a PF and rape ultras with it. considering that the cost of making an ultra is almost the same to make a PF and having a single PF with 10 scvs rapairing it can kill 4 ultras easily prepatch

  • only thing about the zerg is that most times you can't just rush with heavies like that. they don't have a big unit that can hit both air and ground ie: Carriers and Battle Cruisers. it usually helps to have a mixed attack force. if you rush in with 10 Ultras for instance and they have a bunch of air units like the above true you may get some damage done, but the costs of the ultras wont offset it. if i move in with a ground force i like to augment it with either Hydras or Mutas for air cover

  • @DanybearPolakmc the ultralisk's attack on buildings are now gone and they just do their normal attacks on them. the patch 1.1 bug is that the SCV's are within the range of the attack when the ultralisks are attacking the building.

  • Honestly, this just makes the endgame better for the zerg, and that's it. People are complaining a little to much about this, especially considering that the final Zerg Units, the Brood Lord and the Ultralisk, are far harder to get than Thors, Battle Cruisers, and Collosus. They rarely even come out anyway, and if they do, it usually means the zerg player has such a huge advantage that he'd win even if he didn't have these units. That said, it does look insane in this video 0_0
