It depends on what you define as "real magic." Can I levitate a house with just magick? No. No one can. But magic isn't about that sort of thing. It's about sending your intentions to the universe and manipulating energy to help you get things that you need/want, as long as it harms none. But like all things, magick can't do it for you. You can't say "I want a spouse" and be a hermit and expect to see results.

Iv always expected to be aligned by earthy gods because i am more connected with nature. Naturally, i always felt drawn to Pan. However, picking a goddess was difficult. None seemed right. The one that felt closest was Rhea, but after meditating on the subject, the name Selene came into my head first. I dont know anything about Selene other than she is a moon goddess. strange.

Hmm... I aligned with the goddess Ceridwen and the god Cernunnos. Both of them are celtic, but Ceridwen is Welsh and Cernunnos is Gaulish/British... Is that ok?

Strangely I think The Goddess has ways been hanging around my house. It took me opening up to witchcraft and paganism to notice her. We've always had a statue or figurine of Kwan Yin and It received one from my sister last year. So when I read about her and looked up I saw her and felt her saying "no worries I've always been here for you."

@DanceStorm You can align usually through meditation or ritual. or even just look for them in the simple things throughout the day. For example, for a God of Music, listen to the melodies you hear on the radio as you head to work and reflect on his art, and the divinity of music, etc.

I was in meditation when I met Cerridwen but I wasn't ready for her at the time. I met my spirit guide the same way. I was working with Cernunnos but I have stopped working with him for the time being just because I don't think he is the right one for me to work with now. I watched your video and was totally inspired! I've been drawn to the Norse pantheon for some time, but it just never really seemed to click for me. So, I googled Goddess of guidance, and found Rhiannon, and the description of her just resonated through me, so powerfully. She has been appearing to me in meditations and in nature, almost unrelentingly! Its somewhat comical, hah!

No offense, but i don't think you should pair Medusa with Poseidon. If you know the story of Medusa, Poseidon raped Medusa in Athena's temple. Since Medusa was a priestess for Athena, she had to remain a virgin, since Athena was also chaste. Athena punished Medusa by turning her into a gorgon.

You may also consider that not all gods are known by name. I think looking a god up in a book is like picking up a phone book and dialing a number to find a friend, when it is much better to find a friend by going outside and getting to know people. So go outside and get in touch with nature. Commune with the divine around you, and you will find the gods and goddesses reveal themselves to you.
