@MissBlossom01 If a movie is hyped up alot, it should at least be good. Inception was overhyped, but still really good. It's easy to say that any movie is at some point, different from "other movies" but personally, i think avatar more or less retold the story of pochahontas in outer space. It's unrealistic, not because of the outerspace part, but because of the stupidity of the millitary in the movie. It's so cliche it's obnoxious

@MissBlossom01 I walked out of the cinema with hurting eyes after the damn 3D which is just another element to make the cgi look even more amazing. But that movie was so over-the-top hyped up that i just couldn't walk out without feeling scammed. If it hadn't been hyped and if i could walk in with normal expectations, i might have liked it. But calling this any sort of step forward in direction or moviemaking is just ignorance and insanity(i've heard people hyping it like that).

@Dereklolhaha Well. James Cameron said that if Avatar was successful, he would make two sequels. So it wouldn't be like other franchises where the companies are just milking it. It would be just as high quality as it's predecessor.

But he also stated it would be years before another one would come out. After all, Avatar was original written over 20 years ago but he didn't make it because the technology wasn't available back then.
