Great program and I even go as far as saying that it is, IMO, currently the best all-around IDE for web development. With that said, it is, like all other IDE's (some more than others), missing a few things. Namely PHP code completion/hinting for array superglobals like $_SERVER. As for HTML, it is missing some attribute value completion/hinting, for instance, the form tag is missing the attribute value hinting for enctype so you're pretty much left to know the enctype your form should have.
Geez man, if we got rid of the gaps and bits where you just plain old dribble on and wonder what you are doing next, this video would be 4 minutes long......!!
Maybe think of that when you do something like this - that is, plan it so you don't dribble on and waste time.
@pilus87 Agreed. I started disliking the application because of this horrible review. This 19 minutes could have been presented in 3-5. Good god that was tough.
@Sirepicwin They both have their uses. I use Notepad++ for text-files and quick editing. But when I work with complex projects I use always an IDE. In fact, I'm still looking for a decent IDE, but I can't find any. This is why I'm looking back on phpDesigner to see if it's something for me. Thanks for the video.
you should write a bullet point script before recording your tutorials.. this one just seems to be all over the place and that's not very good from the point of view of someone who is just visiting your site for the first time.. best not go off tangents and keep your stuff to the point.. not criticizing, just trying to help..
@SBvide0s Netbeans is slow, and kind of buggy. The startup time is terrible and so is the debugging. If Netbeans would've be a little faster and without all the annoying bugs I'd start using it again. But until then, I'd stick to other IDE's that are not Java based.
One of the reasons why I love PhpDesigner is bcus when I would work with 'PHP Style sheets' their extensions would be .php rather than .css so the syntax highlighting would be for php, BUT I was able to switch to css highlighting very easily.
PHPDesigner looks pretty good. However, I think the interface is a little cluttered and I really don't want to pay for an IDE or editor after 21 days (I hate trial software). At the moment, I use NetBeans as an IDE for full-fledged projects and Komodo Edit as an editor when I want to write one or two PHP files or open a file etc. (NetBeans does not allow you to create a PHP file alone; it forces you to work in projects, which in a way, is good), but Komodo Edit is the best I've found for now...

@Sirepicwin Notepad++ is free and simple, but not better. ;)
This IDE surely has everything a web developer needs.

@masen29 I only said that because I didn't had phpdesigner :P, but since i got it , I work more with phpdesigner, how ironic xd.

i agree. the video is not presenting the software as good as it deserves :)
dont record one big fat file, but rather show small clips and cut them together smoothly.
