  • what a fucking shity artist

  • @pjerry72 you obviously have no perception other than your myopic life.

  • @MrMonsterstiffy shut your mouth faggot

  • He needs to change his name, so not to get mixed up with the musician.. how about "Nick Cavernous" maybe?

  • is it just me, or does having the name nick cave make you awesome?

  • CRAP....he doesnt do any of this...his "assistants do. Paid under the table to boot

  • This is really stupid shit

  • learn to make art

  • I want to intern for him soooooo bad!!!!

  • @inferno911 @americanzero582 @clipside2 @halperry @vasorrubaba1 @americanzero582

Please check out my video on Fashion in Art - NICK CAVE - TODAYS LOOK Episode 77 - on my YouTube. THANKS!!

  • this is all true. idk i think of it sort of like designers -even though it's a stretch. it's understood that they don't actually make every single item but because it's their "vision" that's the name that gets put on it

  • why would people click expecting australian nick cave when the uploader is "usa artists?"

  • ehhhhhhhhhhh I LOVE YOU . WOW.

  • I like how this is in USA artists because Nick Cave doesn't make these. His "assistants" do and they are from all over the place

  • @americanzero582 so? these are all things that are either worn or travel great distances. they need to be well-made.

  • @housecloud then he should make them well, or give his assistants the credit. Ive met with him, hes a prude.

  • Nick Cave does not make these. he doesnt make any of his work. His "Assistants" make everything.

  • That's because you've never been in Rio de Janeiro for carnival...

  • cool as well

  • Went to The Norton in Palm Beach yesterday to see an old Hollywood portraits exhibition..and was totally blown away by the unknown (to me) exhibition of Nick Cave that they were also having there. I have never seen art like his, I usually hate performance artists and find them pretentious, and have rarely been as impressed as I was by his work. Absolutely amazingly beautiful and creative, and a seemingly damn nice man to boot.

  • This is my favorite Nick Cave. Screw what the rest of you are talking about.

  • This is NOT Nick Cave.

  • I love it! !!Just wondering , is it fireproof...??

  • Crap

  • I searched nick cave because I wanted to watch nick cave music video's but I found this and oh my god this artist is absolutely amazing I love the use of costume and motion thankyou for the new artist ^^

  • I love your work, Mr. Cave! Your photos in the 2010 September Vogue are the only innovative ones in the whole magazine!

  • This is not the Nick Cave you are looking for....

  • Oh hey cool, now I know about two far out Nick Caves haha!

  • umm...TF?

  • I like it. Nice.

  • I'm not GAY !!! And so I have to rait this a firm negative six!

  • @3larry13 Moron. Got to be a Republican, too.

  • @larryharnett Thank you, thank you very much!! but I'm still not gay.

  • I too was searching for the musician, but this is some pretty cool stuff. Hooray for pleasant accidents. Go Nick Cave 1 and Nick Cave 2!

  • lol i can appreciate this man's work just as well as the godlike, australian nick cave's.

  • Leigh Bowery?

  • Im dissapointed.not "Bad Seeds",this is "bad taste".

  • Dude, change your name. I wanted this fucking unreleased Cave's song, not a parrot dancing.

  • @GrandMofffOrdaz : I guess you know but just in case; it´s not about the band (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) it´s about some fruity designer.

  • currently obsessed with these things...

  • The MEET ME AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH exhibit at the Fowler Museum on the UCLA campus is a trip! You enter another world, it puts a smile on everyone's face, and a huge Wow in the air. A group of little girls was watching the videos at the entrance to the show and they were laughing and dancing, loving the energy that emanated from the creations. Really have to see this in person!

  • woops I thought this was the singer. Meh, this is cool anyway

  • great!!!

  • The yoruba people of Nigeria west africa have this...google the word 'egungun'...possibly other african cultures as well.

  • @tshoyoye - yeah cave obviously riffs on established ethno costumes from around the world (these are just the tip of the iceberg) ... but he brings his own "magic brains" into the equation. truly remarkable.

  • followed a tweet here thinking it was the singer Nick Cave, but that's cool tho...I guess people with that name have a numerological bent towards art maybe...

  • Interesting...

  • Makes me think of "Sonny's Burning".

  • sending light and love Nick ... wished I could have seen you while visiting Bhakti

  • Where's Mick Harvey? :(

  • Amazing and wonderful!

  • Love IT! Wish it was longer

  • Great textiles...and concept. Do wish the video were longer.

  • @TamzinAvery @Chlosaurusrex @oyapower @m3coupe4me @aquamoon22 @hellseyduster Please check out my video on Fashion in Art - NICK CAVE - TODAYS LOOK Episode 77 - on my YouTube. THANKS!!

  • I just saw this work today at the Yerbuena art center. It made me uneasy and i can't figure out why. It was so interesting. The textures, the concepts, the materials. I really loved to see such an original idea. I have to write a paper on Nick Cave. I'm so excited to just get into his head. It is magical.

  • This is the artist exhibtion at YBCA, great works.

  • Silly me, I thought this was an interview with Nick Cave of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds....

  • @halperry

    you are not alone:)

  • it looks like Nigerian masquerade costumes. Same idea.

  • The twig suit is my favorite in this video. What a way to reuse the earth and make others aware of its presence.

  • Nick Cave - you're work is magical! Your bushman and shaman suits are stunning. You're a manipulator of textiles extraordinaire. Love the materials & how you work with them. Terrific installations: keys, coffins, hearts, your primitive, feral stuff, the wildly colored fantastical stuff/Enchanted by your work for decade+. You are an inspiration to us who work in textiles and explore boundaries of fashion, fetishistic, ritualistic garments. and their anthropological antecedents. Ella (X-SAIC)

  • I just have to comment because I can't believe there aren't any yet. This is video is AWESOME! I wish it was longer.
