@JensGarden1 No, I don't do the humanure thing yet, although I would like to. I renovated my bathroom and I have a hard time getting rid of things...even broken toilets.
I live in Texas and it's hot I feel I have good temp I can feel the heat when i open the door, just wondering how often should I add water and how much? I usually add about half a gallon every few days.
@justice2576 The amount of water you need to add will vary, but ultimately you want to keep the contents damp to the equivalent of a "wrung out sponge". I'm tired of hearing that expression, but it's the truth and I can't think of any other way to put it!
Santa just brought me the 18 bushel version tumbler! Ima gonna go craaaaaazy! :-D

I use alfalfa instead of the puppy food. It really heats the pile up

I am still at it what I have been doing is setting my yard clippings to the side letting them dry and using them as browns.

@justice2576 I essentially do the same thing...I collect leaves in my area and let them dry out for some time before I grind them up...works great!
