I will never forget the loss of the entire platoon of SEALs except for Marcus Lutrell in Afghanistan. Marc was the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq.

I know the families of the fallen and Marcus is one of my "adopted sons", he calls me MommaLee. I know him and the story quite well. I read the book when it first came out, amazing story of amazing men.

The description says in first seal lost in Iraq, The events that involved Marcus Luttrell happend in Afghanistan. But I do believe that the first Navy Seal that died in Iraq was Michael Monsoor. He also received the Medal Of Honor.

Marc was killed on Aug 2, 2006, Mike Monsoor was killed Sept 29,2006. They were on the same SEAL team which is the most highly decorated special ops unit since Viet Nam.
