well thats a failure of the game esigners...not the open world concept. take GTA san andreas, it was huge with lkarge enviroments...citys..suburbs..­.farmland...

GTA San Andreas also had a huge number of side missions, diversions and a really long main story which made full use of each of those environments.

Open worlds don't work all of the time. It certainly didn't work for Dragon Rising.

Um,the ORIGINAL Operation Flashpoint:Cold War Crisis way back in 2001 has 5 maps all of which except for one are bigger than BOTH GTA:San Andreas and Dragon Rising.Plus you could roam around freely in it,except for like two missions.

It also had planes,4 factions,rainbows,thunder and lightning,a mission editor,a VERY long and memorable campaign,and an epic soundtrack.Remember this was several months before GTA 3!

Dragon Rising is NOT Operation Flashpoint, nor will it ever be even close.

Things that struck me were the sound of the m16 and the tank explosion at 0:50, the tank body didn't move when it was hit.

IMO I think this game will have a SOCOM feel to it.
