  • thats really great ,how much hp your car now?

if its nearlly 250 hp thats really awesome ;)

i have Milan 2008 2.3 auto, how can i make it more faster up to 230 hp or better than 170 hp. mohammed from Saudi Arabia,Jeddah

  • you know... alot of fusion owners including myself are looking for intakes for their cars.. well i made my own intake... looks exactly like it would if it came off the shelf... 12hp gain @ 5000RPM. 3'' piping, filter sits where the OEM air box would be. sounds amazing, looks perfect. 2006 fusion SEL V6...

  • how much was ur intake let me kno

  • I had the first gen intake from steeda which was $200 but the second gen is out now and it is $250

  • i have a 2008 4cyl manual fusion. I tried putting a uni. K&N airfilter..and forgot about the sensor. haha. nice video bro

  • Did you feel any power difference after the installation of the intake? also did fuel efficiency decrease of increase? I own 2.3 5-speed stick 2009 im looking for practical option for a bit more kick

  • A little perf gain but mosty looks and sound. but fuel eco is better. i drive combo intown and hwy and still get 27 to 28 mpg every fill up

  • @plyerererererer try the steeda website, they have a tuner as well and there is the exhaust system, also stiffer springs and a stiffer chassis will net you faster acceleration from a dig however top speed not so much, good luck!

  • where did you get the intake? was it actually made for the fusion? i tried making mines but the air flow sensor housing wont fit

  • Is this car's ecu same as mazda6? I know the engine is the same.

  • No the mazda6 and the fusion are completely diff. they both use a diff tune and from what i have seen and been told there are either no tuners for the 6 or very very few

  • does the heat shield really help?

  • It does. I live in Iowa and in the summer we get temps well into the upper 90's out. I drove home from work after installing it (about 20 miles) then grabbed the intake and it was cool. have never had a heat soak issue with this intake.

  • thanks for the info. I just ordered a heat shield yesterday and I can't wait to get it. Thanks again.

  • how much would it cost and for the installation?

  • 250 from steeda's website and it takes about 15 min. if you have some extra money i sugest a Jet Performance Mass air flow sensor$149.00 and a Steeda Intake Resonator Delete which is about $30

  • thanx but what is a resonator?

  • the resonator is the tube that pops out a few inches befor the throttle body. some say removing it has no changes but i think it sounds a little better + all the air that went into it is now going straight to your engine right? but dont just remove it and leave the hole open if anything gets in the hole it could damage your engine

  • thanx. my brother has a 08 fusion that i will get when i start to drive. i wanna do some of that stuff to it like engine upgrades and sound system.

  • damn.. pretty snarly for a 4 cyl

  • yo i have a 2.3 fusion too and seeing this shit makes me wanna buy one so if i did can u tell me if theres a short ram or not

  • there is a newer vers of this one from steeda just check out there web site. But yes it is a short ram not a true CAI

  • Just listen to the melody of the cams at WOT, what a tone!

  • we love our fusion it's great

  • cool, if you really wanna blow your mind check this out: this is just speculation, but I just finished reading Motor Trend and autoblog online articles on new fords coming up (New mustang and Fusion) there is a possibility that Ford might use a twin turbo v6 on the 2010 mustang to go along with a new 5.0 v8, now the twin turbo v6 might be used in the Fusion too :), again, just speculation, but thought you might like it.

  • the ecoboost v6 is coming on the mustang, f-150, and Taurus SHO, unfortunately not the fusion. Turboed 365hp. The fusion gets the NA 265hp version.

  • if they put that in the f150 its gonna out perform the 5.4 lol

  • currently working on my sis. fusion I'll post up the intake set up after I finish it

  • nice...i have a 3.0l fusion. kinda wish i got the i4 for the mileage. but anyways, do you have an exhaust on the fusion? or does this cold air intake make it sound like that? it sounds pretty. i'd like to know this because i don't know jack about this stuff and was thinking of getting one. sounds awesome. msg me back or something man please. much appreciated!!! ;)

  • The intake makes that sound.... yeah im not a fan of V6's. I love the high pitch sound of 4 cylinders

  • dude you should get rid of the whole stok tubing on it it's not that hard to make a custom intake for the fusion it'll give you better flow and a much depper sound

  • You should test drive and get WOT in a 4 and 6 and see which one you like more, easy answer for me

  • Ya that sound is all intake. If you took off the intake tract, it would almost sound like you took off the exhaust system. To me that sound is 100 times better than a import fart can. just get a little Mustang sound out the back and have a blast. I wonder how much you can improve the 2.3 for power and all.
